Warzone Season 6 launches later today, here's what time the new Call of Duty update goes live.

As we approach the release of the next Call of Duty title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the Warzone live-service train keeps on rolling, with the Season 6 update set to be released later on today. Whilst the game's previous major content update, Season 5, focused on introducing hip-hop operators and a new resurgence map, Season 6 will feature The Haunting, an event that will see the major maps plunged into darkness, and feature the re-introduction of the popular Zombie Royale mode in what promises to be a Halloween-themed extravaganza.

Here's the confirmed Warzone Season 6 release time, and how to download the update.

Warzone Season 6 release time

Warzone Season 6 will release at 5pm BST / 12pm EDT / 9am PDT today. The new season will launch worldwide simultaneously across all platforms, so no region will be able to jump in early. Activision confirmed the Warzone Season 6 release time in a blog post that was published earlier this week. If you're new to Warzone, big content updates always go live at the same time, and always on a Wednesday.

Players on PS5 and PS4 will likely be able to pre-load the Warzone update prior to the release time, but players on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S will likely have to wait until 5pm BST / 12pm EDT / 9am PDT to begin downloading the Warzone Season 6 update. But once the download is done, you'll be able to drop into Season 6 right away.

Season 6 will also be the first Warzone season to launch following the Warzone Caldera servers being shut down, with the original Call of Duty: Warzone title no longer playable.
