Prof. Koichi Hashimoto received his B.E., M.E., and Dr.Eng. degrees in engineering from Osaka University, Osaka, Japan, in 1985, 1987, and 1990, respectively. Currently, he is a Professor at Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan. He was a Research Associate at Osaka University from 1990 to 1994, an Associate Professor at Okayama University from 1994 to 2000, and The University of Tokyo from 2000 to 2004. He joined Tohoku University in 2004 as a Professor. His research interests include visual serving, 3D sensing, nonlinear control, and bio-navigation. Dr. Hashimoto is a senior member of IEEE and a JSME, SICE, and RSJ fellow.
