Anna Szczotka-Bochniarz graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin in 2002 and, in 2007, received her PhD in microbiology from the National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI) in Puławy, Poland. She worked in the Department of Swine Diseases, NVRI, from 2002 to 2024. In 2009, she was promoted to Assistant Professor, and in the years 2021-2023, she held the position of the head of the department. In 2024, she moved to the Department of Cattle and Sheep Diseases, NVRI. Her research topics mainly include infectious diseases of animals, especially those affecting swine and ruminants. Maciej Kochanowski received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin in 2010. He has worked at the National Veterinary Institute (PIWet) in Puławy since 2011. In 2021, he completed his Ph.D. and was promoted to Assistant Professor in the Department of Swine Diseases at PIWet. His current research focuses mainly on infectious animal diseases, particularly bacterial diseases of swine.
