IGRSUP 2024: Property Registration on Stamp & Registration Portal in UP

IGRS UP is a dedicated portal for stamps and registration services in Uttar Pradesh. Through the portal, users can access stamp duty information, property details, etc. Read more about IGRS UP.

What is IGRSUP?

IGRSUP is the online portal of the Stamp and Registration Department of the UP Government. Apart from the registration of property documents, it provides services such as protection of registered documents, the providence of copies of registry documents to the court (when desired) and public, among others. It also provides online services such as property registration, encumbrance details, stamp duty information, online property search and online application for stamp refunds, among others.

Services provided by IGRSUP (Stamp and Registration Department UP)

IGRSUP is primarily involved in the providence of services such as the registration of documents and marriage registration, including the registration of properties. The following services are provided by the portal:
  • It facilitates the registration of papers presented by the public in the Deputy Registrar's offices.
  • Indexing of registered papers in the Deputy Registrar's offices. In indexing, in the Deputy Registrar's offices, the names of the parties involved and the area-wise lists of the property are prepared and made available publicly.
  • It ensures the availability of attested copies of the papers to the Hon'ble Court and the public.
  • Discharge Certificate If any transaction has been registered between the public in relation to any immovable property in recent years or if any mortgage of the property has been registered, then the related certificate can be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar.
  • It facilitates Hindu Marriage Registration Under the provisions of the Hindu Marriage Act 1955, the registration of Hindu marriages is done by the Deputy Registrar Office. 
  • Under IGRSUP, attested copies of sale letters or donation letters of agricultural land are made available free of cost to the revenue office of the concerned tehsil by the deputy registrar offices.
  • When the ‘wills’ of the public are submitted, they are preserved by the district registrar's offices.
  • Due to illness or old age etc., if an executor is unable to go to the Deputy Registrar's office for the registration of his paper or to accept the performance of the paper, then in such a case, the process is completed at the place of residence of the executor.

IGRSUP Property Registration Online
The property provides an online facility of property registration in Uttar Pradesh. Here is a step-by-step method to register a property on the portal.
Step 1: Go to the official website at https://igrsup.gov.in/

Step 2: Click on the Property Registration (Sampatti Panjikaran) tab on the left.

Step 3: When you click on the ‘Apply Now’ (Aavedan Karein) tab, a new window will be opened at https://igrsup.gov.in/igrsupPropertyRegistration/

Step 4: If a new application is being submitted for property registration, click on the New Application (Naveen Aavedan).

 Step 5: When you click on the New Application (Naveen Aavedan) tab, the following window opens.

Step 6: Once this window of property registration opens, you have to fill in the details, such as 
  • District
  • Tehsil
  • Deputy Registrar
  • Mobile Number
  • 8–12-digit Password and captcha code
Step 6: After filling up of the following details, click the ‘Enter’ (Pravesh Karein) button.

Step 7: Once all the details are submitted online, the applications and the duly signatured documents will be presented before the Sub-registrar. You can choose a suitable time for presenting the documents for verification.

Note: It must be noted that the Document registration can be done in the ‘Hindi’ language only.

IGRSUP Index

It is a service by the Stamp and Registration Department UP that allows a user to see the details of a property registered after 5 December 2017. To get the property details using the IGRSUP Index, follow the mentioned steps-

Step 1: Go to the following address @ https://igrsup.gov.in/igrsup/fehristNEWOderedGaonList 

Step 2: Fill in the details such as Address of the property, tehsil, Colony, Village and Cathca code.

Step 3: Enter the Captcha code.

Step 4: Click on the View Details button.

The IGRSUP index details will be displayed on the screen.


How to Check the Evaluation list on the portal?

The portal allows a user to check the evaluation list online. To check the evaluation list online, follow the mentioned steps-

Step 1: Go to the official website.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ‘Evaluation list’ option.
Step 3: As soon as you click on the link, you will be redirected to a new page.
Step 4: On this page, enter the District, Sub-registrar Office, and Captcha code.
Step 5: Click on the “View Evaluation List”. The list will be displayed on the screen.

How to check the property registration application status?
If you have already applied for the property registration on the portal, you can check the status using the following method-
Step 1: Go to the official website at https://igrsup.gov.in/

Step 2: Click on the Property Registration ( Sampatti Panjikaran) tab on the left and click on Apply Now.

Step 5: Fill in the details such as District, Application id, Password, and the Captcha code. When you click on the Log in button, the application status of property registration will be displayed.
How to Search for Property Information on IGRS Uttar Pradesh?
The portal allows a user to search for a property online. To search for a property on online, follow the below-mentioned steps-
Step 1: You can log in to the portal at https://igrsup.gov.in/igrsup/defaultAction.action

Step 2: When you click on the Property Details (Sampatti Vivaran) tab on the left, the following window opens at  https://igrsup.gov.in/igrsup/propertySearchLinks

Step 3: Here, you can search for both rural properties and urban properties.
Step 4: if you click on Rural Properties, the following window opens.

Step 5: You have to enter the details such as 
  • District

  • Tehsil/SRO office

  • Village/Mohallah

  • Khasara No/House No/plot No

Once you click on the submit button, the details of the property are displayed on the screen.
Step 6: if you want to get the details of urban properties, you have to click on the Urban Properties tab in the following window.

How to know the stamp and registration office in your district?

If you wish to avail of the services of the stamps and registration department in Uttar Pradesh, you can check the nearest office on the IGRS UP website. To check the nearest office of stamp department, follow the mentioned steps-

Step 1: Go to the website of IGRS UP.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ‘Know Your Office’ button.

Step 3: you will be redirected to a new window at https://igrsup.gov.in/igrsup/knowyourofficeentry .

Step 4: Here, enter the details like District, Tehsil, Village and Colony.

Step 5: Enter the Captcha Code.

Step 6: Click on the ‘View Office’ button.

The name of the nearest stamps and registration office will be displayed on the screen.
How to apply for stamp duty withdrawal on IGRSUP?
The portal allows a user to withdraw the stamp duty. A user can apply online for stamp duty withdrawal on the portal.

Step 2: After IGRSUP Login, click on the ‘ Stamp Vaapsi Hetu Aavedan’ tab. The following window will open.

Step 3: If you are a new user and applying for stamp refund on the portal for the first time, click on ‘New Register’.
Step 4: In the next window, 

Fill the details such as District, Mobile Number, Password and Captcha Code and Click Sign in. You can now apply for the stamp duty refund on the portal.

Step 5: If you have applied for the stamp duty refund earlier, you have to click on Pre-register tab.
Step 6: After you click on the Pre-Register tab, you will have to fill the details such as Application Id, Captcha Code and password and the stamp duty refund status will be displayed on the screen.
This way, the stamp duty refund can be applied on the portal. This facility has enabled the online application for stamp duty refund and saves a lot of time of the general public. It has also ensured transparency in the refund mechanism of the portal.
How to Apply for Certificate of Registered Instrument on IGRSUP? (Panjikrat Lekhpatra Ka Pramanpatra)
The stamp and registration department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh allows for online application of certificate of registered instrument via IGRSUP portal. The certificate can be applied in the following steps.
Step 1: Click on the ‘Application for Registered Instrument Certificate’ or Panjikrat Lekhpatra Pramanpatra Ka Aavedan on the left on the portal.

Step 2: The following Window will be opened.
Step 3: Fill in the following details:
  • District

  • Sub-registrar’s office

  • Type of Property

  • Registration year

  • Registration Number

  • Date of Registration

  • Name of the Applicant

  • Captcha Code

Click on Sign In. You can then apply for a certificate of registered instrument through portal.
How to apply for industrial property registration through IGRSUP?
The Uttar Pradesh Government is encouraging start-ups and investors to invest in the State. To provide a one-stop interface to the investors, the UP government has rolled-out the Nivesh Mitra website. The investors can register on the Nivesh Mitra portal through the portal in the following steps.

Step 1: Log in to the portal at https://igrsup.gov.in/igrsup/defaultAction.action
Step 2: On the Home page, click on the ‘ Audhyogik Sampatti Panjikaran hetu Nivesh Mitra Website ke Madhyam se Aavedan Karein’.

Step 3: You will be directed to the following website @ http://niveshmitra.up.nic.in/
 
Step 4: here, you can get information related to required approvals, budding industrial sectors, Government support and facilities provided to the investors.
How to apply for Encumbrance Certificate on IGRSUP portal? (Bharmukta Pramanpatra/Barah Sala)
The portal facilitates the application for ‘Encumbrance Certificate’ or Bharmukta Pramanpatra/Barah Sala Online. Before applying for the Encumbrance certificate on the portal (IGRSUP Index), keep the important property documents handy. Property details and names of the owner or co-owner are compulsory to apply for Encumbrance Certificate on the portal. To apply for it, the following steps must be followed.
Step 1:  Go to https://igrsup.gov.in/ and click on the Bharmukta Pramanpatra/Barah Sala on the left.

Step 2: Once you click on ‘Apply’ or ‘Aavedan Karein’ the following window opens.

Step 3: If you are a new user, click on ‘Start New Registration’ 
Step 4: Fill in the details such as Applicant’s information, and details of the property

Review before submitting and click the submit button to Apply for an Encumbrance Certificate.

Step 5: Once you Submit the application, you will be redirected to the payment gateway.
You can make the online payment through Debit Card, Credit Card, Neft, RTGS, UPI and Other Online payments methods.
How to certify E stamp on IGRSUP portal?
You can certify the e-stamp on the portal. To certify the e-stamp, follow the below mentioned steps.
Step 1: Click on the E-stamp Satyapan on the home page of the portal.
Step 2: Once you click on the E-stamp Satyapan, the following window opens.
Step 3: Fill in the details such as state, certificate number, stamp duty type, and issue date, and click on Verify. You will get the details on the screen.

The IGRS Up, or Inspector General of Registration and Stamps (IGRS) of Uttar Pradesh, provides a facility to check the rate list for mutation of land records target urban local bodies. To check the rate list of mutation of land records at urban local bodies of UP, follow the mentioned process.
