"05.02 The wandering, non-committal camera worked well this round for Malick, as it mirrored the life of the 'protagonist' played by Christian Bale. This cinematographic approach was also used in Malick's earlier films 'Tree of Life' and 'To the Wonder'. Third time lucky perhaps because I really didn't like these two prior films.
