It’s a fun cheesy movie.

It’s a fun, action adventure movie, that can be very tense at times.

The dark atmosphere.

Cons:

For some, there are cultural depictions that are decidedly very uncomfortable. Especially the bad guys.

It’s very dark and terrifying at times.

For some Kate Capshaw’s Willie, was way too annoying.

Pros:

Drew Barrymore as Charlie

The pyrotechnic effects

The film’s music, by Tangerine Dream.

Cons:

The casting of George C. Scott, rubbed some the wrong way.

It’s arguably, one of the mid tier Stephen King film adaptation. But it is still a decent movie.

It’s a cheese fest, from beginning to end.

The performances by ensemble cast.

Kyle McLachlan

The music by Toto and Brian Eno.

Sting.

The world building in the film.

The effect work, especially the Sand Worms.

Cons:

It’s a very long, convoluted film.

For some, it’s a movie that either was too close to original source material, or veered to far from it.

If you don’t know anything about the source material, you will be absolutely lost.

David Lynch. In retrospect may have the best choice to direct Dune.

Tim Robbins, hamming it up.

Howard the Duck

The film’s quirky , odd ball, weirdness.

The songs on the soundtrack.

The whole 80’s vibe, the film has.

Cons:

It’s also a really big WTF film.

The special effects feel very of it’s time.

The movie at times, feels like it has idea what itself is. Too raunchy, for the younglings. Too off for others.

Either you like the film, or hate it. There is no in between.

It’s arguably, one of the most hilariously funny films, of all time.

One of my favourite Christmas themed films.

Some of the humour, does feel very much of its time, and could be questionable for some.

The effects, especially with He Who Walks Behind the Rows, instead he is more like a demonic version of the gopher from Caddyshack.

Pros:

James Woods (in spite of himself).

The make up, and body horror of the film.

It’s a very unnerving movie.

The grimy feeling, of Videodrome.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada as it’s back drop.

It’s one of David Cronenberg’s best films.

Con:

For some it would be “a litmus test film”, plus the whole queasy exploitive nature of Videodrome.

The infamous opening segment, the incident, and John Landis.

Pros:

It’s arguably, one of the best eateries of the Dirty Harry series, or at least the first half.

It’s very a suspense filled film, and tense.

Cons:

The amount of violence, and tone might be off putting for some.

Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and the rest of the gang.

It’s action packed, from beginning to end.

Pros:

Even though it’s a sequel, it feels like it’s own movie.

Meg Tilly

Anthony Perkins, still has it. Even years later.

It’s a very under appreciated film.

Cons:

It’s considerably more violent, than the first film. If that is entirely possible.

For some, it’s a highly unnecessary sequel, to a classic film.

Con: For some, it could a unbearably queasy, uncomfortable, grim, violent mess of a film. it’s not for everybody.
