ATTENTION TO MY READERS
First of all thank u to all my readers, those of you who continue to look at this list and attach it to Best Of... compilations. I know this thing is a bit of a mess. I'm currently working on moving things around, trying to clean this thing up to make it presentable and easier to follow. Hopefully this won't take too long and by the end of the changes it'll make a little bit more sense. I ask for and thank u all in advance for your patience.

HOW THIS LIST WORKS:
Welcome! For animation lovers and my friends and supporters, the following are my picks for what I consider the greatest, or most noteworthy animated series ever to be made. Ranging from tradition 2D animation style to anime, to Western cartoons, to the more obscure and bizarre. Yes, I do include shows that involve puppets, stop-motion, or other animation-related elements. Each show must consist of at least 3 episodes to qualify as a series, thus, some OVA series are included. My reason for posting this list is simple, I like animated television, I like to spread the word on things I feel get neglected or overshadowed, and when it comes to the size I'm not ashamed to admit I like to be the king of the long lists on Listal.
Until now, every animated series list I come across on Listal to me seems way too uninclusive. Don't get me wrong, there are some really superb ones on this site like incrediblejeff's Top 100 Animated Series list, which I highly recommend everyone check out, it hits the nail on the head for a lot of my own favorites growing up. But as I grew older, my tastes evolved, it seems like everyone who likes animation either recommends their favorite anime or their favorite cartoons. This too me, seems like such a waste. There is insight and entertainment to be shared in either style.
What constitutes 'great' with me?
I've had time to think about this. And I think I've reached a conclusion.
Mainly, any series that I consider to be great generally has to mean 'epic'. Now epic can mean many things. Take live action for example, epic can mean something on the small scale, like Seinfeld, something that's epically funny. Others are epic on a rather LARGE scale, like Game of Thrones. Thus, the following are an assortment of animated programming, ranked by least favorite to my all time fav at the bottom, that I found to be the most epically engaging, in wit, entertainment value, relevancy, longevity, and overall mind-expanding content.
My thoughts and opinions on each will be shared and posted as I go along. But I have a lot on my plate so please forgive me if it may take some time getting reviews up for each show.
COMMENTS
Comments are welcomed by all. Please, if there's a show you don't see on this list but would like to, feel free to leave me a recommendation, I probably haven't seen it yet. I will get to it when I can and perhaps add it to the list. Yes, I am updating this thing regularly, as I get introduced to new shows. Should I see number of shows exceeding the number 1,000 I might expand the list's perameters, but for now, I'm comfortable in sharing my top 1,000 collection. Cause there's lots to see out there. These are my ranking for the Top 1,000 you need to see in your lifetime...
