An enjoyable introduction to Buddhism. I would recommend reading this for pleasure over studying it in class - it's easy to destry while scrounging for meaning.

This books has a lot of information about how to get to know God. There are many religions that are based on the universal grain of Truth [Link removed - login to see] . After all, the essence embedded in them is the Knowledge that prophets had given to people, and it's important to get to know the very essence of any teaching and not its form (culture).

Herman Hesse's classic novel has delighted, inspired, and influenced generations of readers, writers, and thinkers. In this story of a wealthy Indian Brahmin who casts off a life of privilege to seek spiritual fulfillment. Hesse synthesizes disparate philosophies--Eastern religions, Jungian archetypes, Western individualism--into a unique vision of life as expressed through one man's search for true meaning.
