A week ago, Thoma Bravo announced the acquisition of PROS, My immediate reaction was that there are good synergies, for example with Conga https://lnkd.in/gEBpSKgV And here we are. Conga announces the acquisition of the #B2B part of the PROS business. This changes the #CPQ game drastically. It will morph from Configure - Price - Quote to Configure - OPTiMIZE Price - Quote. Can we call the emerging capability Revenue Lifecycle Management? At least, one can say that Conga + PROS offers a broader and deeper toolkit across the revenue lifecycle, from configuration and pricing to quoting, contracting, up to post-quote execution. MyPoV 👉 Great move that will show benefits for both PROS and Conga B2B customers. For their customers? Let's see. 👉 This merger will surely spur some activity from enterprise #CRM vendors, #ERP vendors as well as pricing specialists. Especially the latter should feel some more heat. 👉 It will be interesting to see where the other piece of the fillet that PROS is will move. Jina finding a home in Elastic marks the third acquisition/pivot in this space just this year. Many of these «embedding model» companies have presented themselves as that, but in practice have been selling «enterprise search» and consulting for years. Offering managed endpoints for embedding inference wasn’t a good business model after the initial post-chat moment (See link for a great read on that) Jina acquired by Elastic, Voyage acquired by Mongo, and Mixedbread pivoted to managed no-code search endpoints. A large technology enterprise finance team sent the Pulse team ~17,000 PDFs from quarter end close: audited financial statements, lender agreements, embedded spreadsheets. Their internal stack (OCR from a cloud provider stitched together with prompt scripts) handled clean invoices but collapsed on these: about 40% of fields usable, 12% document failures, with engineers burning hours cleaning for compliance. We skipped the demo and issued a production API key. They pushed the entire folder that afternoon. Their report back: —Internal stack: ~40% usable fields / 12% failures —Pulse: ~96% usable fields / 0 failures They kept sending real traffic. The homegrown pipeline was retired and those engineers now build features on top of structured data instead of fixing extraction errors. If you cannot test a system with your worst documents on day one, you are evaluating a demo, not infrastructure. Opening broader Pulse API access soon. Stay tuned, big things coming.

ClearFeed is about to get Agentified. Very happy to see our first Agentic integration - #Okta - rolling out. #IT Support teams using ClearFeed for ticketing can chat with Okta from #Slack. Okta connected AI-Agents built using ClearFeed can auto-resolve user issues and automatically enrich tickets. Latest AI models are brilliant at invoking APIs and are rapidly getting better at reasoning. But bringing dozens of integrations that Enterprises work with into an Agentic platform, in a secure manner and with a small team is challenging. In next few weeks we plan to roll out a dozen or so such integrations - enabling Customer Support, IT, HR and Engineering teams with natural language access to their favorite tools from Slack.
