In 2019, a then 16-year old Dyson Daniels attended the NBL Next Gen Combine, powered by Rookie Me. He had the opportunity to get his first experience at a verified Athletic Testing Combine mirroring the standards of the NBA. Testing can provide insights into your athletic ability, allowing you to benchmark your results and identify your areas for improvement. Six years later, we see Dyson as not only the Most Improved Player, but as an athlete who seized his opportunity and unleashed his potential. #ThrowbackThursday

Rookie Me is heading to New Zealand! 🇳🇿 We’re proud to support New Zealand Rugby's Next Ferns talent search this May — an initiative to uncover emerging female athletes with the potential to represent the Black Ferns at the 2029 Rugby World Cup and 2032 Olympics. We’ll be conducting 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥 regional Testing Combines across Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, and Auckland. The Most Improved Player in the NBA 🏆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 Dyson Daniels on what has been a historic season with the Atlanta Hawks. 🔸 1st for the 2025 Most Improved Player Award. 🔸 2nd for the 2025 Defensive Player of the Year Award. 🔸 Youngest player to record 200 or more steals in a season since 1973-74 (when steals became an official NBA statistic). 🔸 The first guard to lead the league in steals/blocks since Michael Jordan. Ki Ryan was one of the many coaches at our April Academy camps. She was the only coach who is deaf and had Auslan interpreters accompany her as she coached. Ki’s coaching work emphasised the impact of visual learning with many of our able-bodied athletes (who do not have hearing impairments) benefiting from watching her coaching methods and teaching abilities. What a great experience for any young person with or without a disability, to witness Ki in action — by finding solutions and methods to do what she loves. Coach football and share her passion. Show your support on Saturday 7 June, 2025 as Deaf Football Victoria will play against Police Victoria (King’s birthday weekend). This event aims to raise awareness for all, highlighting the importance of bridging the gap between the deaf community and other communities in Victoria. Venue to be announced soon.
