Tomorrow at the Serverless Architecture Conference in Berlin 🇩🇪 We’re so proud that our Billie Thompson will be taking the stage to explore what it really means to treat infrastructure as code, and why good design matters more than ever. In her session, Billie will show how poor infrastructure design can lead to knowledge silos and slow down delivery, and how applying software engineering principles to infrastructure code can completely change the game. Expect real-world examples, practical design patterns, and concrete strategies for creating modular, testable infrastructure that developers actually want to use; boosting knowledge sharing, delivery speed, and developer happiness. 🎤 Session: Infrastructure as Real Code: Breaking Down Silos with Modular Design 🗓️ Wednesday, 22nd October | 17:00–17:45 (Salon 3) 📍 Serverless Architecture Conference, Berlin or Online #Serverless #CloudNative #DevOps #InfrastructureAsCode #PlatformEngineering #Armakuni #TechConference #AWS

A big shout-out to Rachael Wonnacott for her fantastic talk at Fast Flow Conf earlier this week, "The Conservation of Cognitive Load". Rachael brought her background as an astrophysicist to platform engineering, using a scientific lens to show that cognitive load, like energy, can’t be eliminated; only shifted. She explored how efforts to simplify developer experience often move complexity onto platform teams, and shared practical examples from Fidelity International’s migration from Cloud Foundry to Kubernetes. Having worked with Fidelity International’s cloud teams we can attest first hand to what an incredible communicator and leader Rachael is. It was also a lovely surprise to see one of our own colleagues Billie referenced on the slides from her previous talk on cognitive load! It’s a reminder of how ideas build and connect across the community. We came away with lots of practical insights on scaling platforms, managing load across teams, and thinking about complexity in a more nuanced and holistic way. Thank you Rachael, for such a thoughtful talk underpinned by good science - it really resonated with us! #FastFlowConf #PlatformEngineering #CognitiveLoad #DeveloperExperience #ScalingTeams #Fidelity #Armakuni

What a brilliant day at AI for the rest of us! Honest conversations, practical takeaways, and shared experiences about what AI transformation really means in modern organisations. Our own Faye Benfield joined the “The Only Constant Is Change” panel alongside Matthew Skelton, Lawrence Ampofo PhD, and Hannah Foxwell, to explore what it takes to lead through transformation with purpose, clarity, and humanity. The discussion tackled some bold questions: 💬 “So you think you need an AI transformation programme, has anyone asked you that question?” 💬 “What have we really learned from past transformations: Agile, DevOps, Cloud?” 💬 “How do we support people through change, especially when AI feels threatening?” Faye shared her take that “AI isn’t a strategy, it’s a set of tools to use for a particular outcome.” The key, she said, is to stay focused on why change is needed, and how to bring people with you on the journey. A huge thank you to our fellow speakers and to the teams at Vodafone and Team Topologies for leading such thoughtful conversations about what it takes to be truly #AIReady. #AIForTheRestOfUs #AI #TechTransformation #TeamTopologies #Vodafone #Armakuni #DigitalTransformation

Believe it or not, 84% of all system integration projects fail or partially fail. One of the largest movie theater chains in the world was just days away from launching a new Amazon Connect + ServiceNow contact center when critical integration issues surfaced. Broken call flows. Incomplete handoffs. Legacy code defects. That’s when Armakuni’s team stepped in with our PUSH framework. We: → Audited the Amazon Connect environment end-to-end → Fixed broken integrations and flow logic → Aligned cross-functional teams to deliver a smooth launch The launch went live on time. The success positioned us as the client's partner of choice for future initiatives, including Gen AI-powered voice assistants, smarter routing, and predictive customer support. When 84% of projects fail, precision and the right framework make all the difference. That’s how engineering gets done. #AWS #AmazonConnect #PUSHFramework #GenAI

How to make better decisions under pressure — The Triangle of Tension Missed our recent webinar? We’ve wrapped up the best bits in a new blog! 🎬 It dives into that all-too-familiar pull between what’s wanted, what’s needed, and what’s feasible — and how teams can turn that tension into real progress. Two brilliant tech leaders joined us to share honest stories about when this triangle showed up in their organisations, what they did to navigate it, and what they wish they’d learned sooner. 💬 “I found it a very interesting hour. It wasn’t a hard sell, just an interesting conversation with smart and reflective people.” Catch up on the key takeaways here → https://lnkd.in/d3tzjn9t #TriangleofTension #Armakuni #ProductManagement #ProductEngineering

Another great story of how we help enterprises modernise their contact centers and drive meaningful business outcomes. #AWS #AmazonConnect #GenAI
As a CTO, I’ve seen many companies assume that moving their contact center to the cloud will automatically make it smarter and scalable. In reality, performance at scale depends on the platform itself. This became clear when we partnered with a US-based benefits tech company. Their dependent document verification process was handled through a legacy system. Agents had to manually handle repetitive queries, share instructions, and review documents. We re-architected the experience using Amazon Connect as a single hyperscaler-native backbone for calls and chats. Employees can now connect with agents who provide clear instructions and enable uploads. Routine questions are automated, while complex cases are escalated with full context. This change delivered faster resolutions, better employee experience, less manual effort, and $500K+ in savings. For me, the real value of cloud adoption lies in using scalable platforms to simplify operations, rather than replicating old inefficiencies. Amazon Connect helped them rethink their contact center from the ground up. #amazonconnect #genai #AWS
