Our North America Higher Ed Institutional Marketing team hosted their 5th Limitless Learning Summit (LLS) last week in Colorado. The LLS is an opportunity to collaborate with educators, institutional decision-makers and thought leaders to elevate topics that are driving institutional strategy and nurture conversations about how to take these ideas back to each school. Day one kicked off with opening remarks from General Manager, Higher Education Nhaim Khoury, followed by an interactive high-energy session on leadership and execution led by trained fighter pilots. On Day two, Chief Digital Officer Darren Person and Professor Corinne Hoisington explored the role of AI in education, and SVP, Research, User Experience & Design Kimberly Russell moderated a panel on bold decision-making featuring President of Arizona Western College, Daniel Corr, VP of Academic Affairs at Monroe University, Jacinth Coultman, PhD and VP of Academic Portfolio Strategy at Western Governors University, Sarah DeMark, Ph.D. Breakout sessions covered succession planning, student-centered leadership, and talent development. The day wrapped with an inspiring talk from the President of Community College of Beaver County, Roger W. Davis, on reimagining the educational landscape. Earlier this month, we hosted Regions 4 and 5 of the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) at our distribution center in Kentucky. Over three days, faculty and Cengage Group employees came together to explore the future of business education. From a behind-the-scenes warehouse tour to sessions on AI, career readiness, and user experience, the energy and exchange of ideas were incredible. A standout session, “Bridging Business Trends and Classroom Readiness,” presented by Portfolio Manager, Jonathan Gross, and Senior Portfolio Managers, Mike Worls, Heather Kramer Thompson, Aaron Arnsparger and Chris Rader, sparked great conversation, and a roundtable led by Elizabeth Rankin inspired forward-thinking dialogue on the future of higher ed. Thanks to Sales Director, Emily Harding for seeing the potential of the distribution center as a gathering space and Account Executive, Jennifer Clark, and Senior Sales Growth Specialist, Jill Quinn, who helped organize the event. Earlier this month we hosted a Wellness Inspiration Week for employees. Each day featured challenges and prompts designed to support different dimensions of wellbeing—including physical, cyber, mental and emotional, financial wellness and more. Participation in these challenges was overwhelming and sparked friendly conversation and camaraderie among colleagues from across the business. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a crucial time for current and future beauty professionals to raise awareness and educate themselves on how to recognize signs of domestic violence and be their clients’ first line of support during difficult and dangerous situations, once properly trained.
