Hershey Philippines Celebrates Inspiring Women this International Women’s Day With ‘SHE INSPIRES’

Wave to Earth’s first-ever arena show in PH held at SM MOA Arena

For artists like Wave to Earth, a South Korean indie rock band, having a show at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena for the very first time in the Philippines, a country that is home to many K-pop fans, is an unmatched experience. Herbalife Family Foundation Empowers Filipino Communities

In line with its mission to nourish and uplift underserved communities, Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF), the philanthropic arm of premier health and wellness company, community and platform, Herbalife, has awarded approximately PHP 8.7 million (USD 150,000) in grant to two Filipino nonprofit organizations—SOS Children’s Villages Pilipinas and Tuloy Foundation. This grant is part of the Casa Herbalife Program, a global initiative by HFF that collaborates with community organizations to provide nutritious meals, educational resources, and safe environments for children and underserved communities.



“Good nutrition is at the heart of a healthy future,” said Allan Domingo, General Manager of Herbalife Philippines. “HFF is honoured to play a part in SOS Children’s Villages Pilipinas and Tuloy Foundation’s mission to provide children with not just meals, but also a safe and nurturing environment where they can learn and grow. We remain steadfast in our commitment to empowering communities through nutrition and education.”


Strengthening Child Welfare Through Holistic Support 


At SOS Children’s Villages Pilipinas, the grant directly benefits 217 children, ensuring they receive proper nutrition and equipping them with essential life skills. Beyond food assistance, the funding supports mental health programs that help these children and youth develop coping strategies and resilience. It also strengthened advocacy initiatives through the Children’s Month Celebration, themed "Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines", reinforcing the importance of child protection and holistic development. Additionally, the grant enabled training programs, equipping caregivers with essential skills to promote healthier lifestyles among children through exercise and wellness sessions.


“This generous grant from the Herbalife Foundation has been instrumental in ensuring that the children in our care receive the nourishment they need to grow, learn, and thrive,” said Romil I. Rayos Del Sol, Deputy National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Pilipinas. “Beyond food security, it strengthens our advocacy for children’s rights and helps us equip our caregivers with vital skills to promote holistic well-being.”



Meanwhile, the Tuloy Foundation utilize the grant to provide food subsidies, ensuring that the 200 children under its care receive daily nutritious meals. The grant is also used for Tuloy’s aquaponics garden initiative, which allows children to learn first-hand how to grow their own vegetables, fostering self-reliance and sustainability. 


“At Tuloy Foundation, we believe in more than just feeding children—we empower them with the knowledge and skills to sustain themselves in the future,” shared Fr. Marciano "Rocky" Evangelista, President and Founder of Tuloy Foundation. “With HFF’s support, our aquaponics initiative is not only providing nutritious meals but also instilling valuable life lessons in self-reliance and responsibility.”


The children of the Tuloy Foundation were recently invited to the Herbalife Spectacular, the company’s annual kickoff event, allowing them to meet, engage and celebrate with Herbalife’s employees and Members.

A Laugh Story" -- the 35th Installment of UP SAMASKOM’s Iconic Comedy Musical Variety Show

The longest-running comedy variety show out of the UP Diliman campus will be back for its much-anticipated 35th installment in 2025.

 

LIVE A.I.D.S. 35 -- “Ang Ika-tatlumpu’t Limang Istoryang Dinebelop ng SAMASKOM -- will light up the stage anew this May at the IBG-KAL Theater at the University of the Philippines, Diliman with this edition’s theme, “A Laugh Story”. It will be a very special presentation as U.P. SAMASKOM (Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Komunikasyon) celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2025.

 


SAMASKOM, which is celebrating its golden anniversary celebration in 2024-2025, kicked off preparations for its 2025 presentation at Gold A.I.D.S.: The Live A.I.D.S. 35 Kickoff Party on February 15 at the Edge Skyview Bar at Ibis Styles Hotel. Resident members, alumni and friends of the premier academic organization got together to unveil and unlock special activities at the event.

 

The local entertainment industry is filled with SAMASKOM alumni who have made names for themselves in front of and behind the camera, like Jervi Wrightson (KaladKaren), Giselle Sanchez, Tuesday Vargas, RS Francisco, and Director Lauren Dyogi, to name a few.

 

Among the special projects unveiled at the party is an album featuring songs that embody the Live A.I.D.S. experience — a mix of beloved classics from previous installments and new tunes specially created for the 35th show. The creative and production teams of this Live AIDS 35 were introduced alongside an in-depth presentation of their vision for the 35th installment. A stellar lineup of SAMASKOM alumni took the stage, bringing their signature flair and energy to celebrate the legacy and ongoing impact of their iconic show.



Live A.I.D.S. 35 marks the directorial debut of television writer Ken De Leon, known for his sharp storytelling and innovative approach to entertainment.

 

Aptly titled A Laugh Story, the 35th edition reflects the spirit of SAMASKOM: “creative freedom, boldness, and a dedication to storytelling that resonates with the times”, says De Leon.

 

“A Laugh Story” is more than just a theme—it is a journey through the stories that shape who we are as Filipinos. From the bedtime stories that lulled us to sleep as children, to the fairy tales that sparked our imagination, to the everyday gossip that kept our curiosity alive, stories have been central to our connections and understanding of the world. Live A.I.D.S. A Laugh Story is a celebration of these narratives that give us meaning, using humor and heart to remind us of the shared experiences that unite us all,” De Leon explained.

Biggest Global Conference of Image Consultants in Manila this April

The much-anticipated BPI #BestLifeRun Corporate Race 2025 is officially opening its registration on March 1, 2025!


As the country’s first and only corporate-focused running event, this year’s race is set to be bigger and better, uniting professionals from various industries in the pursuit of fitness, camaraderie, and corporate wellness.


Now on its third year, the BPI #BestLifeRun Corporate Race continues to champion health and wellness in the workplace while reinforcing the collective commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. What started as a bonding event for BPI employees has evolved into a multi-company fitness movement, welcoming teams from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to large corporations and run clubs of all levels.
