Short Description
This trip takes you to Volcanoes National Park, a home to endangered primate species that is the mountain gorilla and the golden monkeys. You get to see these apes in their natural habitat. You get to tour Kigali city city where you will learn about the general culture and lifestyle of Rwandans and also visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial and learn of the genocide that took place in Rwanda.

Day By Day Details

Day 1: Arrival in Rwanda - Transfer to Musanze
Arrive at Kigali airport, meet and greet, we have a city tour of Kigali, including a visit to the genocide memorial center and other cultural sites. In the afternoon we drive to Musanze the Gorilla base town.

On Your Transfer from Kigali Airport
You will be picked up from the airport by your driver/guide and transferred to either your accommodation for overnight or start your adventurous safari.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes
After breakfast, we take a short drive to Park Headquarters and meet with excellent local guides and trackers who will give a talk on the manners of gorilla trekking. We then hike into the forest to where the gorillas were seen the night before and track from that point.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking - Transfer back to Kigali
After breakfast drive to park headquarters then meet your forest guides who will escort you into the park to trek the Golden Monkey trekking. Fully habituated now, enjoy a rare treat watching these unique primates play and perform in the forest.
