Classifying An Organization to Identify Its Information Requirements: A Comprehensive Framework

ABSTRACT: This paper presents a methodological framework for classifying organizations in order to identify their information requirements. The framework is in the form of guidelines to study and characterize an organization, starting from a broad vantage point and continuing on to a detailed analysis of specific managerial actions. The methodology was applied to study a city government and a medium-sized bank, with encouraging results.
