The film, written by "Challengers" screenwriter Justin Kuritzkes, reunites Guadagnino with collaborators like fashion designer Jonathan Anderson and composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
"There is something about that kind of intelligence and honest and sexual-social intercourse that is just irresistible in filmmaking and in storytelling," Law said of the tone Kuritzkes brought to hit "Challengers."
The "Challengers" screenwriter told IndieWire that his second collaboration with director Luca Guadagnino, an adaptation of a William S. Burroughs novel, required an entirely different writing process.
Though his love triangle film has parallels to his wife Celine Song's filmmaking debut "Past Lives," screenwriter Justin Kuritzkes would not classify "Challengers" as auto-fiction in the same way.
