Watching this was like seeing a documentary. Folks this does not have the all too usual tired Hollywood script and false drama. It depicts the struggle of a single Mom and daughter in the African American community in LA to survive, get off the street and perhaps move ahead a bit.
More African American film makers like Kelli Kay should be noticed and funded for additional works.
Tune in with an open mind. This is a gem of an indie film.

A fine production in my opinion of another Dickens classic. Well worth your time.
Agree with ALL other low and poor ratings for this. Too bad because I like Wes Studi's acting. This was a paycheck movie.
