Wild Dog (2021)
Decent Thriller and comeback from Nagarjuna!!
Despite the 2 hr duration, the film is bit slow but it has definitely a good content. No nonsense and no deviations in the plot. Some similarities with Uri & Baby films. Climax is very engaging and amazing action sequences. Overall a decent comeback from Nag after Devadas. We are not good with numbers. Given the low budget involved and apart from Nag, the rest all cast is almost new, so remuneration costs will also be less, and having the pre Netfix deal in hand, we think Wild Dog would end up as a profitable venture.
Iravukku Aayiram Kangal (2018)
Screenplay will blow your mind. !
Not very know star cast, young film making team but the Content & Screenplay is just top notch. Underrated film offlate but if you watch it won't bore you for sure.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
Master Piece..
Go ahead and watch it. Undoubtedly a best SpiderMan from Marvel & Sony ! :)
Theri (2016)
Policeodu/Theri - Thumbs Down. !
Till now many of Kollywood heroes had proved their stamina when their movies got dubbed into telugu and released simultaneously in both the languages. But one Top hero of Kollywood, none other than Ilayathalapathy Vijay couldn't create any magic in telugu despite his overwhelming stardom in Tamil nadu. In fact telugu people like his movies with Subtitles when it comes to DVD or Torrents :). His previous movie puli was a sheer example for Disaster and now he wanted to try his luck with Theri, which has been named as #Policeodu in Telugu. Plot of the movie is simple revenge drama which is there since early man civilization ;) [ It is in the Same line with #YennaiArindhaal / #YenthaVaaduGaani ]
After an average first half, I was expecting something to come exciting but the entire second half is fallen flat with unnecessarily dragged scenes & incoherent episodes. Amy Jackson's role is sheer waste in the movie and in the same with Samantha's also. Vijay is little good with his antics. Meena's daughter has acted very well and her propinquity with her father's role is too good. Definitely she will cement her position as a cute child artist now. Background score is superb and music album by GV Prakash is under rated. Not even a single song is hummable. I think director Atlee has confused us with his totally scrap script. No one expects such a foolish story after a stupendous success like Raja Rani. Very Poor writing & incoherent scenes spoiled the fun in the movie. Vijay couldn't even managed to make a small success in Tollywood with this flick. Totally Thumbs Down !!

Terror (2016)
Gripping Thriller.!!
Since 3-4 days everyone is talking about either #Kshanam or Oscars, especially #Leo getting an award after a long wait. People have almost forgot there is an another movie Terror which got released on last Friday. It is because of Hero Srikanth has lost market since 6 years and they are not keep tracking of his movies at all. One of my friends(Film Director) has told me to watch this movie because it is been made by National award winning Director Sathish Kashetty. With that confidence I have started looking for tickets in BMS but it is shocking that there were very few shows available to watch, this is due to this is a very small budget movie and there are no hopes on Srikanth as a lead actor. Somehow I managed to see the movie.
To the surprise, Srikanth has done very well after a long time in his lead role. In-fact after Mahatma & Virodhi(Critically acclaimed), he has given power packed performance. Story comes under genre of political crime thrillers and on terrorism, in the past we have seen many movies on these lines but gripping screenplay and compelling narration by the director is the main USP about this film. Extremely engaging back ground music by Sai Karthik and there are no songs in the movie. Run time is also 120 mins, even though it is a old story line but it won't bore you. Low production values because the entire movie runs in Hyderabad locales only.
Finally after 14 debacles if you put his supporting roles apart, Srikanth is back with a decent one. People who like these kinda films, they can watch it. I heard they are increasing the shows & screens after the positive buzz about this film. Appreciated effort by #Terror film team.

Deadpool (2016)
Witty writing, Best adaption from Marvel Comics
"Deadpool": Witty writing, Best adaption from Marvel Comics
I was laughing from the opening credits itself, that is seriously brilliant writing & madness. Suggest you to watch it in big screen, preferrably in IMAX, because you will see more blood in bigger details wink emoticon. Entire film has humor coefficient, which is really adorable. Ryan Renolds is just awesome, even though disfigured. Great sense of humor in hero's characterization is perfectly suited for the film. Fun is the word you would describe this film. Actually these kinda films doesn't need reviews, they should just go on. Movie may be R-Rated but it is worth watching. Overall the movie lives up to the hype.

The Revenant (2015)
Awful one
I was so enthusiastic for couple of days that #Leonardo has got Oscar finally for the movie "The Revenant" after 4 consecutive nominations, but after watching it I'm wondering he would have gotten Oscar earlier only for the movies Inception or Blood diamond. Coming to my views on film, first of all this film is not for all, Strictly don't go with your Wife/Sister/Parents/Girl friend. If you go with them, thittulu kaayatam ;) (I have experienced it).
Story is literally nothing new in the movie and it is about one's survival which is stunningly awful to watch. The quality of the camera-work is excellent and the bear mauling scene kinda very much accomplished. Rest all is kinda very slow narration and too much of wacky scenes. Along with camera-work, Leonardo's acting is top- notch, they may deserve Oscars, I still wonder why the director has made it. Last year also he made one Jaffa movie(The Birdman) he grabbed one Oscar and this year he got for this jaffa one. Consecutively 2 Oscars for him. Lucky guy !! I'm sorry if I hurt any hard core fans for this movie, but I feel this movie is so dreadful, tiresome and lazy narration. #ChiruReviews #TheRevenant
Zootopia (2016)
Don't miss it
I know I'm writing a late review for this. I came to know about this movie when everyone is telling me "Zootopia is such a great movie". Finally with lot of recommendations I have watched it with high expectations and it has reached to my level of expectations. One word I can say, it is truly a 'Masterpiece', Walt Disney Animation Studios just nailed it after their successful venture Big Hero 6, couple of years ago. This is 55th Animated feature film from their classic animated series of films. Unlike other animated films, Zootopia has a perfect mystery plot with a message added to it. In fact if you take the story with out any animation, it has really good potential. Clearly we can say that it is an perfect commercial action-mystery oriented script with heavy animation touch. Graphics, Dubbing & Cinematography were undoubtedly top-notch. Zootopia on the surface, beneath the surface, and everywhere in between is essentially flawless. Through its importance with a riveting plot & eye-candy graphics, Zootopia will stand as one of the best works of animation for this entire decade. Walt Disney and Pixar are the best in making animated films, and this is no exception. Don't miss it. !

Oopiri (2016)
You can't even turn off your eyes. Wonderful, Hilarious & Touching.
Oopiri/Thozha:
Having said that it is an Official adaption of a great French Movie "The Intouchables" which is truly inspired from Philippe Pozzo di Borgo and his French-Algerian caregiver Abdel Sellou, director Vamsi Paidipally has taken utmost care in rewriting it in Indianised style so that it can sync with the audience here. I won't say the plot because those who watched the French or English version they would have known it and at-least it would be a surprise for those who didn't watch it. So let us maintain that.
First of all it is first of its kind film for our South film industry. The Brother Bonding, BroCode, Bromance, BroComedy between Karthi & Nagarjuna are simply amazing. I truly wonder Nagarjuna has become too choosy in selecting scripts after his historical debacle Bhai, he even promised to audience he will never make such films and now with this movie he is sticking srongly to his word. People might think it is an easy role for Nagarjuna to just sit & act on a wheel chair, but it is really difficult to act like this with not even a bit of movement in his hands or legs. He has passionately acted in this film and he enjoyed acting in this role. Literally he gave meaning to this role. He is definitely a inspiration to Senior & younger generation heroes now. This film makes Karthi's straight debut in Tollywood, he did a splendid job and especially his comic timing is so funny at times. With this, his place will also be cemented here too. No doubt now he will be flooded with many offers here. Tammanah, Prakash raj, Jayasudha, Ali, Gabriella & Kalpana have got apt roles. Even tammanah's own dubbing is very good in the movie.
Vamsi rediscovered himself by beautifully adapting the story. There is a entirely a contrast between this movie & his previous works. He has done a tremendous work for this film. Of course comparisons from everywhere starts because it is a adaption but he delivered his best effort. Dialogues by Abburi are heart touching. Each and every scene has class performance that makes you cry & laugh at a time. It is impossible to make a film like this,it is just PVP Cinema has handpicked all the technicians & cast properly and has done a commendable job. Music by Gopi Sunder is splendid & situational. The only odd in the movie is, length of the film and second half narration is bit slow.
Great story, great star cast, great cameos(Surprise !!), great technicians & great crew has made Oopiri watchable. If you ask me to define Oopiri film, my answer goes likes this: "Oopiri is celebration of life, celebration of companionship, celebration of friendship, celebration of love, celebration of emotions and the list goes on... " I cannot say more, the film must be experienced.

Premam (2015)
Undoubtedly Premam is a winner !!
Don't think otherwise I wrote a review for the film which got released 6 months back. What to do when I want to watch other language films, I need to wait for subs ;). That is where the delay. Anyhow here we go !
Premam film doesn't have a strong story line but I wasn't bored for a second. The way I got recommendations to watch Ustad Hotel, Bangalore Days & Neelakasam Pachadkal & Chuvannabhumi, likewise I got recommendations to watch Premam too. (Ofcourse I watched it with subs, manaki Hindi ye raadu sarigga.... inka malayalam aithey illileyoo..;) ) The way Malayalam Industry is making films now a days is spending very low budget and getting huge revenues. Actually Premam will come into that category. It's an emotional ride filled with good performances, extreme highs & lows and situational comedy and you travel with the characters throughout the story. Considering the scope of Malayalam industry this film has taken it to the next level actually. Overall it is a visually appealing chronicle of love with few blemishes.
Bajirao Mastani (2015)
Bajjilu Vesukone Bajirao ki...Mutton kottu Mastanamma madhya jarige amara Prema Katha ;) #Troll.
Sorry for the Troll. Jokes Apart, It is a epic love saga between an Indian General, Peshwa Baji Rao I & his second wife Mastani. Seeing the posters & trailers I was in a impression that it will be a war centric drama and of course I read about that in real life BajiRao had fought 41 battles, in which he was never lost not even one battle also. But here Sanjay Leela Bhansali has touched only the Love life of Baji Rao and entire story revolves around the love story between Maratha Peshwa & Muslim girl and the difficulties they face in society because of caste-ism. I have never seen Bhansali's movies in Theatres, this is the first time I have watched his movie. One thing I can say, movie is magnanimous & grandeur. Means each & every frame is like a painting and it is visually so convincing. But people who expect more war scenes in this movie will get disappointed like me ;)
Bhansali has done a decent job, but lengthy & slow paced narration will make you yawn sometimes. First half is extremely slow and it has almost 5-6 songs but second half is good and emotionally convincing. Love story between Bajirao & Mastani is one of the highlight. Cinematography & production values are so rich. Music is simply awesome, I really loved these tracks: "Malhari" "Pinga" "Gajanana". Choreography is splendid and so perfectly composed. Very few war sequences in the movies, so no need to talk much about them, because the trailers & posters are little deceiving regarding this. Ranveer as Bajirao is just OK, I felt Hrithik would have been perfectly apt for this role(Personally my feeling, I'm not hurting any Ranveer fans here ;) ), Deepika as Mastani & Priyanka Chopra as Kashi Bai have just excelled in their roles and especially in few emotional scenes, they are just flaw-less. In fact they surpassed Ranveer in many scenes. Milind Soman has got a small role and rest all are just OK.
Mostly what I heard is Bhansali movies doesn't have strong stories but his grandeur making saves him. Likewise this movie also. People started comparing this with Rajamouli's Baahubali(Comparison is like: Nakka ki Naagalokam ki unna difference), so stop comparing and watch it with a normal mind set. Overall movie may not be a masterpiece but watchable for onetime.
Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha (2016)
Love, Comedy, Innocence & Valor !
Nani has created a brand or identity that, if his movie comes he ensures that either it has good story point or screenplay. So far he is successful with his last 2 block busters Yevade Subramanyam & Bhale Bhale Magadivoy. Now he has tied up with Hanu Raghavapudi, Andala rakshasi fame. Of course Andala Rakshasi couldn't create any stir at box office but it got very good recognition because of its music. At the same time it is a comeback for Hanu after 4 years. So let us see how he made the plot in the movie:"Great love story between an utterly innocent guy & bubbly girl and the difficulties they face. Story sounds very normal but the screenplay matters a lot and it wins too".
Undoubtedly the first half is extremely enjoyable and second half has very few glitches. The reason for these glitches in second half, because there is huge change over from first half which is like movie turning into kinda Road movie with a racy screenplay. But if you get adjusted to it, you may love it. Commendable job by Hanu, because it is not easy to make a movie like this by taking a simple story point and playing around that. In every aspect of story, he connected the dots clearly and impresses with his remarkable narration. Music by Vishal Chandrasekhar is just splendid and back ground music is top-notch. I never heard of him before, looks like they got him from Tamil Industry.
Nani has once again proved that he can take up the entire film on his shoulders. Great going with him by picking films which has potential. It is really good to see hero projected himself as Balayya fan in the movie. (Elago balayya ki hits levu at least his fans must be happy seeing this ;) ) Mehreen has done a decent job and it is her debut film. There are 3 adorable kids in the movie, in that one cute little girl(Nayana), she acted so well and it reminded me about the cute girl from Little Soldiers movie. Perfect! I literally liked her acting so much, especially when she utters this dialogue:"Ma illu ekkado Poindi..Kanipiyaledu";) Each & every character had created some impact in the movie. Off-late I have never seen this kinda of coordination. Prudhvi & Brahmaji has handled the comedy part so well. Prudhvi has been rocking with his comic timing in his recent films.
Despite very few odds, the film has its share of laughs. It promises good amount of entertainment even though it has simple story. The usually suave actor Nani, gives a remarkable performance. Very good Rom-Com to watch it with your Valentine! :)
Naanum Rowdydhaan (2015)
Nenu Rowdy Ne - Telugu Version
Movie was promising with the good star cast like Vijay Sethupathi, Nayantara but what you get is nothing from it, because it has half baked screenplay. Yes ! It is true, the only Pros of this movie are Nayanathara's acting & Soothing tunes. Undoubtedly, all Songs are worth listening and remembering(Especially the tracks: Nuvvu Nenu & Nenu Rowdy ne..). Considering low budget & not so high production values it would have been a profitable venture in Kollywood. The movie pretends to be a dark Comedy but hardly it created any laughter. It is not upto the mark in terms of making you laugh.

Spectre (2015)
Under the expectations !!
Somehow since the time Daniel Craig has entered into this James Bond's franchise, bond movies have become slow in terms of narration & screenplay. Likewise Skyfall or Quantum of Solace, even Spectre is having a snail paced screenplay. That's why all the latest bond movies have got mixed reviews. Till date, I would say for me the best bond films are the ones in which Sean Connery & Pierce Brosnan have acted, because at-least their movies were having racy screen play. Spectre starts off very well as it maintains a pretty good dosage of gadgets, car chases, stunts, females, tailored suits, wayfarer glasses & amazing locations. The song which has been written & sung by Sam Smith was decent but it is not as good as Adele's skyfall song. Few boring scenes in the film & lengthy run time had spoiled the fun. Not upto the expectations.
In the Heart of the Sea (2015)
Definitely this one will be in the heart of audience. !
Ron Howard, who was the director for amazing movies like Beautiful mind, Cinderalla man, Da Vinci code & Rush, now has come up with his new flick "In the heart of sea" which is actually inspired from the true events happened in 1821. It is loosely a adaptation from the book named Moby-Dick which explains about the sinking of the Ship Essex in 1821 after it was attacked by a raging sperm whale. Making a movie on true story or facts, Hollywood or western film industry will always be in the first category to do it with such a close perfection.
Ron Howard has always been a great director. I liked most of his works but this film has little slow paced screenplay in second half. That doesn't matter when the storyline was so good. Story was emotional and at the sametime it was horrifying also. Definitely a standing ovation for the visual effects and ocean cinematography. Among the lead star cast, like the way Chris hemsworth stole our hearts in the movie Rush, same way he did a splendid job as a 19th Century whaler. Even Benjamin walker was also good. Music by Roque banos was just situational and amazing too.
Even though the movie has very few odds, it is best viewed on big screen because of its spectacular visual effects. In the film "In the heart of sea" Ron Howard actually showed us the "Art of the sea".

Express Raja (2016)
Dog and the Diamond !!
Sharwanand is riding high now a days because his last 2 outings were back to back hits. Now he joins with Merlakpaka Gandhi for the film Express Raja to achieve Hattrick this time. Let us see whether he achieved it or not. Plot of the movie goes likes: "Boy - who hates dogs - but ends up having a dog & diamond story related to that "
Basically first half is little dragging & boring with some repetitive scenes but second half sets it right. Not a great story though. Entire film runs on Hilarious & Slapstick comedy angle. It is clear that Screenplay of this movie was taken reference from the movies like Vantage Point & Yuva, of course those are serious movies but director had intelligently used that idea keeping fun angle in mind. So it is well suited here. Music album is definitely a plus point, all the four songs are just amazing to listen. Dialogues are damn hilarious and they are the main reason for most of the entertainment.
Sharwanand is slowly emerging as finest actor especially with his dialogue delivery and comic timing ala Run Raja Run. After a serious romantic film #MMIR, it is treat to watch him again in fun mode. Surabhi is Gorgeous and got a splendid screen time. Saptagiri & Prabhas Seenu's roles will definitely stand out. Because they are responsible for most of the fun in the movie. In fact this is the first time Prabhas Seenu has got full time lengthy role. Veteran actress Urvashi however feels miscast and gets irritating at point. Audience will feel bored when ever comes onto the screen.
Yes, there are few glitches in the movie, but it definitely promise decent amount of entertainment. Looks like Sharwanand got a Hattrick !!

Airlift (2016)
#Airlift: Lifted the bar !
When I heard about Airlift movie that it is based on true events, I didn't know anything about those incidents. But then I googled & wiki'd about it and after sometimes I came to know that it is world's largest human evacuation performed ever. Since then my curiosity towards this movie has increased. Then I watched theatrical trailer of the movie and I was very much impressed. After watching the film, I was completely overwhelmed and totally it has reached the expectations.
The plot revolves around Iraq's Kuwait invasion which happened in August,1990. The movie shows how things changed overnight for all the 1,70,000 Indians settled in Kuwait as well as all other people in Kuwait.
A wealthy and influential Kuwaiti-Indian businessman Mr. Ranjit Katyal is brilliantly played by Akshay Kumar. He has delivered a power- packed performance in it. It is just one man show and he steals the show. No doubt, this man is the most talented star of Bollywood and sadly as I mentioned earlier, he makes only 1-2 good movies per year but rest all are just shitty films. Nimrat kaur has done a excellent job in her role. Looks like she prefers performance oriented roles rather than those fashion or chick flick roles.
Raja Krishna Menon, Director of this film, has done an intricate research on this incident and presented it very well on the screen. Screenplay has little resemblance with the movie 'Hotel Rwanda", the way Akshay Kumar handles it to save all the Indians by arranging a camp in a school. But no one bothers about it, this film has its own identity because this is also a true story. There are many others that this movie will offer.. cinematography, background score, music -- all are really praiseworthy.
It is truly a must-watch for everyone. Basically making a big budget film with some senseless story & scenes will be become a boring film only, but making a compelling film like this can win awards. Indian film industry takes a step forward to educate or enlighten the people(like me ;) ) by making films on true events like this. Take a bow Team!. Despite this film has an offbeat appeal but the engaging screenplay in it will never make you bored.

Soggade Chinni Nayana (2016)
Simple Family Entertainer :)
Vaasi Vaadi Thasthadiyya ;)
After the consecutive flops like Bhai & Greekuveerudu, Nagarjuna Bounced Back with Manam and a successful TV Show MEK. Now his latest flick #SoggadeChinniNayana has created a lot of buzz with the trailers, Nag's look & funny dialect. Basically the plot of the movie very simple: Couple Ramu(Young Nag) & Sita seeks for a divorce. How his father's soul Bangaraju(Again it is Nag) will come down to earth and solve his son's problem & along with that he solves one more mystery. Yes, the plot is like Old wine in New bottle but the way director treated the plot is quite refreshing.
First half is extremely convincing and it goes with a promising pace. Second half has some dull moments which will make you feel bored for sometime. Again Pre-climax & climax episodes picks up and will connect all the dots to keep it engaging. Looks like writers Ram Mohan P & Satyanand has taken a old reference in script writing, to get a family entertainer, in which they are partially successful. Debutant Director Kalyan Krishna has handled amazingly till interval block but he could have worked better for second half. Overall it is a decent job from a new comer. Anup Rubens once again nailed it with melodious tunes & good bg score. 'Dikka Dikka Dumb Dumb' & 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' are my favorite picks in the album. No doubt these songs would have gone for caller tunes already. The Cinematography is in tune with Village subject, especially while capturing the nativity. Even the computer graphics work in socio fantasy episodes is upto the mark. Always production values from Annapurna Studios are very rich.
Strengths of the film are good performances from the lead cast. Nagarjuna's acting as Bangaraju & Ram is just spellbound & amazing. He simply mesmerizes with his cheerfulness, energy, Panchikattu look, Rayban Glasses & Godavari slang(especially Oothapadalu like Vaasi Vaadu Thasthadiyya, teetinlu..;) ) Ramya Krishna once again steals the show, looks like her second innings is going strong with films like this & Bahubali. Lavanya tripati is Gorgeous and given a matured performance. Brahmi is quite hilarious. Surprise Cameos from Anushka Shetty, popular anchor Anasuya, Hamsa Nandhini, Diksha Panth are very well suited in the story flow. Rest all casting has nothing exceptional to do.
Among glitzy, formulaic & commercial films which are giving really a tough time to audience, surprisingly this film revives a simple family drama with a small pinch of Supernatural. Film raises our expectations in the beginning but looses pace in the middle and picks up in the ending. Considering the low budget and good star cast, this will definitely be a profitable venture for Nagarjuna. Although the film has few mistakes, but film is one time watch. It is just Nag's show all the way!! Manam, MEK and now it is SCN, Wah! What a ride:)
Nannaku Prematho (2016)
Intellectual Revenge Drama
We have all tasted Sukumar's Writings since his inception in Film Industry. Each & every of his movie has a unique making style. If we look at his previous works, all may not be box office blockbusters but each & every movie is impeccably made. There is no doubt about it. Even this movie also has simple story line but the screenplay is intellectually written. Since the start title cards to end credits, each and every frame is logically interlinked.
Main plot of the movie is just a classy revenge drama, I don't want to spoil your fun more, so I'm not revealing it intricately.
With in half an hour of the movie, you will get to know what is the motive behind the story. So It is just Screenplay, Screenplay & Screenplay makes the difference!! First half of the movie is little boring at sometimes, because sukumar has included lot of mind analysis scenes like some Science funda in stunts, which might not go well with normal audience. But Second half he did a decent job. Looks like he intelligently inspired from Hollywood movie "Now You See me" but it is OK, many people gets to copy or inspire still they wont get the expected result, this guy is not like that. He is just perfect in getting it. This is classy and settled performance from NTR, be it his dance, elegant British look, beard and John Lennon Glasses, Omg! He is splendid & amazing. For the first time ever, I started liking NTR's acting and look. Rakul is just lovely and she did a fantastic job, may be for the first time her role is not merely related to skin show but some acting as well. One more star in the movie is Jagapathi babu and the way he acted and his look is on par with NTR. As the age increases, he is becoming more & more glamorous. Looks like he is playing safe game now by choosing the roles like this. Rajendra Prasad & Rajiv Kanakala did so well in their roles. In fact after a long time Rajiv Kanakala did a meaty role. Srinivas Avasarala got wasted, his role is not much.
Music & background score by DSP is just commendable. And it is memorable for him because he dedicated this entire album to his Dad, who recently passed away. So good to see the love on his father with the end credits song. Such a nice song(Nannaku Prematho...), hope sukumar will release this song soon. The way Sukumar chose this huge star cast is a plus point. Overall Lekkalu masteru Sukumar ... Lekkalu telchadanike e industry ki vachadu ;) I don't know it may be little exaggeration, but I feel he is Christopher Nolan of Tollywood ;) Finally it is a decent one from Sukumar but stop comparing with Nenokkadine, because that is his best work. Can't say whether it is a pongal winner or not, but just go for it guys.
Nenu Sailaja (2016)
After a long time Ram did a right thing!!
Post the movie "Ready", in a flow people counted his stupid movies like Kandireega & Pandaga chesuko were passable movies but I feel those are the debacles for him and through which he lost his image too. Of course in between he made a different attempt like "Endukante Premanta" which was inspired from a Holly movie, but unfortunately people didn't accepted it. But away from those hyper active scenes from his previous films & over the board action scenes(one shot
5 – 10 ppl in the air kindaaa
), this time he changed his style and became so cautious in choosing proper scripts, because last time audience slammed him.
The Plot of the movie is so simple: "Boy & Girl
Tuneega tuneega type story, Pure & predictable love story with a different treatment" That's it.
Four Pillars for this movie are: Lead Pair Romance, Dialogues – Direction by Kishore Tirumala, Music by DSP(Party track & Sailaja Sailaja tracks are my favorite picks) & Cinematography(Yes Vizag & Araku has been picturized so well, you will double confirm that Vizag is City of Love ;) ). Apart from love story, there is an emotional story between father – daughter in the movie.
Nenu Shailaja has some magical moments throughout the film that will make you cheer the characters and their emotions. Romance is too cute and the chemistry between all the lead characters is impeccable. Even some cinematic clichés are sugar coated with feel good factor and then you can't help but to appreciate and enjoy. Yes. Go, appreciate and enjoy!!
Rudhramadevi (2015)
Half Baked attempt... Entire effort went futile
When Gunasekhar had announced that he will be make a biopic on Legendary ruler "Rudramadevi", people had a feeling that at least now he chose a safe project. Because its been almost 11 years he didn't have a proper hit in the industry as all previous outings were utter disasters. Coming to the story plot: The film starts off well, how Marco Polo explains to his king about our Rudramadevi's reign. It is all about how Rudramadevi successfully ruled Kakatiya Kingdom in 13th Century.
While choosing this well known subject wise, Gunasekhar is quite successful but when it comes to on paper execution he failed it big time. Very bad music by Ilayaraja and he also failed big time. It is better not to talk about VFX CG work actually, I would say Cartoon network or childhood Ramayana or Mahabharata TV series had better graphics than this movie. All war sequences are so awry and they have been choreographed so hastily. Dialogues are the ones which are decent in the movie.
Only highlights in the movie are Good story, Anuskha and Allu Arjun's roles. Anushka poured her soul into the movie. Hats off for her hardwork and dedication. Allu Arjun has got an amazing role, be it his attitude, telangana dialect and dressing, he just nailed it in Gona Ganna Reddy's role. People will definitely remember his role forever. Rest all star cast has got adequate runtime. It is really sad to see having all such a huge star cast and all things in place, still he couldn't give a good product to us. But if you are choosing well known story about a great warrior and that too with a high budget in the hands, it has to be made sure that Graphic work should be a key point in the movie, there itself Gunasekhar failed it big time.
It is quite obvious that people start comparing it with Bahubali but It is no way compared to it. In Bahubali story may be weak but the presentation is simply splendid, where as story is very strong here and presentation has got exacerbated. Gunasekhar lost his credibility totally. God only knows whether he gets table profit at least with the opening collections. Had it been taken up by Rajamouli, this film would have gone to a different zone. Overall Rudramadevi is a Half baked product which doesn't please you at all.
The Walk (2015)
Amazing and Spectacular Biopic
I keep getting enlightened or informational when ever I saw a biopic or film on a true event, especially when they were made by Hollywood technicians. Frankly to say I am not so good at general knowledge or remembering history. Sometimes when I read about a historical person I may not get interested much, perhaps video or documentary on him/her will seriously create curiosity inside me to watch it. But suddenly why am I telling all this funda to you ? It is all because a month ago, I have witnessed the spectacular trailer of the film "The Walk". This is a biopic on French high-wire artist Philippe Petit. After this I got hooked onto his wiki page and read a lot about him and since then, I have been waiting for its release. Brief description about his story, I think twelve people have walked on the moon, but on 7th Aug 1974 only one man in the world - Philippe Petit (Joseph Gordon-Levitt acted in his role) - has ever, or will ever, walk in the immense void between the World Trade Center towers.
Robert Zemeckis, the director of such marvels as Forrest Gump, Cast Away, Polar Express Real steel and Flight, again uses his brilliance with such an emotional and character-driven story. Basically he also took references from the documentary "Man on a wire" and book "To reach the clouds", this book was actually written by Philippe petit himself. Needless to say the cinematography, CG works and 3D effects are state of the art. I was mesmerized by the camera angles from the top of the towers to the streets below. Joseph as French wire artist having little English accent, just nailed in his role. In the film, he himself narrates the tale from the top of the statue of liberty. Ben Kingsley as Joseph's mentor does a fantastic job. Charlotte looking damn cute but her role doesn't have much significance. Film starts off as a Disney fantasy and ends as a miracle. There are few odd or unnecessary scenes in the film but that doesn't matter when the major part of the film is so engaging and captivating.
The walk between the World Trade Centers is also called as "Artistic crime of the century" or "Once in a lifetime" event in the American history and this part was amazingly picturised by Robert. The sensational and multi-angled finale part will leave your jaw opened. Climax was shot so realistic and lively.Movie has true- gripping story line, great acting and bit of romance & comedy too."The Walk" is just a simple stylish and inspirational film. Do experience this in 3D only. It's worth the walk !
Autonagar Surya (2014)
Movie is one time watch.
The film started so promising and has a very good 1st half, the pre-interval episode is really well taken. Second half is bit dragging, should have been better with a better screen play. Unnecessary song on Brahmi and routine comedy scenes should have been trimmed. I still don't know in a intense drama like this, why they have placed these. Dialogues are really worth mentioning in the movie, which are very much gripping and solid. Most of the dialogues are reference to ideas like objectivisim of Ayn Rand, Marxian principles of revolutionary action. Devakatta has once again proved his mettle in writing dialogues after prasthanam. Chaitanya brings in the right amount of grit and intensity required for his role, but there is lot much improvement is needed from his side. Samantha's role was not much important in the movie except for songs. Realistic art direction and massive set of Auto Nagar by the art director are also plus points. Back ground score by Anup Rubens was good but songs are not at all good(except the title credits song and mancheli song). The plot of the movie is also regular political and revenge drama. So one thing I can say a regular movie goer may not like this movie, but those who like intense drama and dialogues, this is sure a pick for them.
Manam (2014)
Beautiful love story: Perfect Tribute to the Legendary ANR.
Manam: Its a perfect befitting farewell to ANR. Right from the first frame to end, Manam is a sure shot entertainer and it entertains you to the core. It is a beautiful and youthful love story that involves rebirth (cosmic balance) as well. What to say about Nag, right from the roles as industrialist, rich landlord and as poor farmer he had immersed perfectly in these roles and has done a impeccable job. He did these roles with so ease like the way he has done for annamayya, ramadasu & shirdi sai.He once again proved that he is a George Clooney of Tollywood.ANR's role is so pivotal in the movie, What can I say about him.100 years cinema History lo 70 years athanide. We should feel proud to have him. The scenes between, ANR, Nag & Chaitanya are the best ever I saw. From the time ANR brought the industry to Hyd to Nag taking it further on to a new age cinema, this is what I called a great Journey. The only sad thing is ANR is not alive to see all this celebration. Thank you Vikram Kumar for showing us entire Akkineni Family in a single frame. There is a standing Ovation at the end in the theater I saw, which I doubt ever happens for a tollywood film. PS Vinod's brilliant cinematography and Anup Rubens' background score are riveting. Lastly one thing I can say is a small, simple & perfect cameo, debut from Akhil AkKineni. #ANRLivesOn #Manam #DejaVu #KingIsBack.
