I can remember watching this movie when I was young and not being a big fan of it for some reason. Now watching it as an adult in my 30s I realize it is a really good enjoyable movie that did make me tear up a little bit. A lot of people probably already know there is a scene towards the beginning of the movie where Lilo hides in a dryer, which I understand it's not a good message because it's not safe for little kids to hide in a dryer. For the Disney+ Version of this movie and for the recent Blu-ray release, they replaced the dryer door with a pizza box to try to cover it up but I don't think it works well although it's such a very short scene. Luckily, though at least for the iTunes and the movies anywhere version of this movie you can see the original unedited version!
