Hi, my name is Kristine. I've lived in beautiful Chicago my whole life. As you can tell, if you have read my comments, I am a bit of a movie lover. I just share a very deep passion for movies and the art behind them. Even though I do not want to become a critic or any other part of film, I still enjoy watching them. I always rate and try to judge a film as fairly as I can. If the film was aiming for a certain reaction or audience, then that's how I will judge it, they're just movies after all.
I do recieve a few e-mails either praising or hating my comments, I've had some really sweet messages and made some nice friends through IMDb, but I've also talked to some really nasty users. I've heard it all "You have bad grammar", "OMG, you have no taste", or just trying to explain why a movie I disliked was so amazing and they are trying to change my opinion of it. So please, if you have something to say or comment to me, it's cool, but if it's something angry or hurtful, I will delete it. Also please keep in mind that my first comments when I first started here on IMDb were written when I was only 15 years old. Also that several of my reviews should be re-written, I try to when I find the time. Again, if you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to ask.
If you are interested, I have a lovely DVD collection: http://kristinedrama14.dvdaf.com/owned

No order what-so-ever, so no, I do not place The Hangover over The Pianist. Just random picks on movies that I personally love and admire. If you want to ask why, feel free to write me a private message.
Guilty Pleasures:
-Showgirls
-Robin Hood: Men in Tights
-Dracula: Dead and Loving It
-Mannequin
-Killing Me Softly
-The Scary Movie flicks 1-4
-Meet the Spartans
-White Chicks
-Twister
-Howard the Duck
So don't hate me, I know these movies are bad, but I enjoy them. Everyone has those movies where they don‘t know why the love them so much but do anyways. My opinion, if something either makes you laugh, cry or moves you, don’t fight it.
Favorite Disney or Animated Flicks:
-WALL·E
-UP
-Beauty and the Beast
-Sleeping Beauty
-The Incredibles
-Shrek 2
-Peter Pan
To be fair, I don't think there is a Disney film I didn't love. Each one has a certain charm to them that makes it enjoyable to both children and adults. So if I continued the list, pretty much every Disney film would be on here.
Most over rated movies of all time:
-The Matrix(take away fancy effects, I found it to be an average action movie)
-Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
-Virgin Suicides
-Alien
-The English Patient
-Rosemary's Baby
-Napolean Dynomite
Again, not to anger anyone, don’t take offense that I find these films over rated. I’m sure some my favorite movies you would find over rated or silly. It’s all a matter of opinion, I just found these films to not live up the hype that was built up around them.
Most Hated Movies:
-In the Mix
-10,000 BC
-Remember Me
-Bio-Dome
-Norbit
-Terminator: Salvation
-New Moon
-The Heartbreak Kid(2007 remake)
-The Love Guru
-Year One
-The Proposal(actually any lame rom-com that is the same script over and over again)
-Halloween(the rob zombie remakes)
These are the movies I could never describe the kind of hatred I have for them. They are poor excuses for film in my opinion and were a complete waste of time.
Favorite actors:(in order)
1.) Johnny Depp
2.) Robert De Niro
3.) Leonardo DiCaprio
4.) Jack Nicholson
5.) Morgan Freeman
6.) Kevin Spacey
7.) James Stuart
8.) Gary Oldman
9.) Marlon Brando
10.) Daniel Day-Lewis
The way I pick my favorite actors or actresses is by their work. Either one or many of their performances has majorly impressed me. I studied theater in high school and college, so I could tell what actors are truely gifted and almost sore with their talent or those who actually work and earned their praise.
Favorite actresses:
1.) Kate Winslet
2.) Cate Blanchett
3.) Charlize Theron
4.) Kathy Bates
5.) Hilary Swank
6.) Kiera Knightly
7.) Laura Linney
8.) Annete Benning
9.) Ellen Burstyn
10.) Reese Witherspoon
Favorite Directors:
1.) Martin Scorcesse
2.) Alfred Hitchcock
3.) James Cameron
4.) Sam Mendes
5.) Christopher Nolan
6.) Roman Polanski
7.) Stanley Kubrick
8.) Tim Burton
9.) Francis Ford Coppola
10.) Gasper Noe
