I can't believe that I knew absolutely nothing about Sir Nicky Winton--had never heard of him!--until I accidentally stumbled across this movie. Everyone has heard of Oskar Schindler, but Sir Nicky's efforts are just as heroic, and it's a shame his name and his deeds are not more well known.
This hero, together with a small group of like heroes, rescued 669 children from the boot heel of the Nazis. This movie touches something in you; there but for the grace of God are we.
This is the type of person our children need to be taught to emulate. Not some twerking singer or a sports figure, but a person who has actually done something to make a difference in the world.

I don't know whose idea it was to take a perfectly good show and toss in the teenage kid with all the angst. The Sopranos did it with the two brats in that show. Now the Bridget character here. It's a distraction and a detractor from the show. Teenage daughter consistently makes bad decisions, hates her dad, and whines about it all constantly.
Then there has to be the wife who's always nagging and complaining, even though she has all the money, jewelry, and fancy cars and clothes she could want. No job. Again, the Sopranos did it with Carmela, now here with Abby.
This is a good show, so I really can't see the reason for having these two elements. It seems to be the formula, though.
