The Five Stages of Grief (2022)
Absolutely Iconic Film!
It's such a fun film! Love you AJ you did amazing work on this film! It's such a creative way of displaying an emotion that we all feel at some point in time. It's a way that even makes the subject seem comical in a way. Cues the cookie rolling across the street. I love how you see Amelia walking through the letters. It adds so much depth to the project. This makes it so visually appealing. The rain though a surprise really adds to the film, just the look it gives the world these characters are in. Natalie's voice adds to it as well. It makes it seem like she's almost fake if that makes sense. It makes the film funnier. The film is a type of funny that seems unintentional, but still covers a serious topic.
Enola Holmes (2020)
Great film but was the fourth dimension really necessary?
I found the film as a whole to be very intriguing. I am a huge fan of Sam Claflin, I also really enjoy Helena Bonham Carter. I have seen Millie Bobbie Brown in Stranger Things and enjoyed her performance.
I found it very interesting to see Sam Claflin play a villain character and not going to lie it doesn't suit him. I think he is very much the actor that you cast for a character you want the audience to fall in love with an root for.
I also found Enola's relationship with the boy(whose name I'm not going to even try to spell) to be very familiar. After thinking about it for a little I realized it was the same relationship as Jo and Laurie from the book(which was later made into two films) Little Women.
The thing I really didn't like about this film though is the four dimension effect. It very much reminded me of when I was a little kid and I was watching Dora and she asked me where the bad guy was. I think the film as a whole was fantastic. But this really killed it for me. The movie is Rated PG-13 it is not made for children, and I honestly find it kind of degrading to the audience. I personally didn't enjoy it as it seems others have. I felt that a voice over would have fit much better for the film.
As a whole the film was very well written(with the exception of fourth dimension)and the acting was phenomenal.
Family Ties (1982)
Life saving
I am currently a teenager who has dealt with depression in the past and this show really helped me. There is one episode that discusses Teen suicide. And Mallory(Justine Bateman) says one thing that has really stuck with me. "I don't understand how she could do it. I don't understand how she could take her own life. I mean no matter how bad it gets there is always tomorrow. There is always the chance that things can get better."
This show has characters with amazing character development. There are very few shows today that teach life lessons like this. It taught me how to be who I am. It taught me that it's okay to be me. The fact that there are so many personalities within one family allows you to know that it's okay to be different. I hope this helped.
Council of Dads (2020)
Why are they not making another season?
In my family we have a bunch of different types of people who all like different types of movies and TV shows. It takes a really good show to be able to get all of us to be engaged. This is one of two shows that has been able to do this for my family. And yes everyone is saying that the show is unrealistic. I'm not denying that, but it's film. Film is supposed to create relatable emotions, not necessarily a relatable plot. Just think about that for a minute. Back to the future isn't realistic but people still love it and it is an icon movie of the 80s same with other great movies such as Jurassic Park. Even a slightly more realistic movie like Love actually isn't actually realistic. It just creates realistic emotions.
