This episode was everything I was hoping for. Going in the direction I wanted Dexter to go the first 40 minutes of this episode are near flawless. Pay off for actions of Dexter and people who have been hurt by him. Everything the original show built and this show had was having consequences. But the last 1/3 of this episode will leave you feeling empty. We don't see important characters conclusion to this whole case. The implications that we were being given to us the first 40 minutes never happen and there was no pay off. Instead we were given a conclusion based off of one action in this episode rather than the actions of everything Dexter has done before hand. The last 20 minutes of the show were handled very poorly and will most likely leave a very bad taste in many peoples mouth for an otherwise what could've amazing show and conclusion to Dexters saga.
If you watched Soul and thoroughly enjoyed it even loved that film there is no reason to not watch this. Some people will over analyze it and either hate it or love it for their own pretentious reasoning. When this is really just a fun little adventure with 22 that pokes fun at her character growth before soul and a few good laughs. Just enjoy it and don't over analyze something that isn't supposed to be Citizen Kane.
