The whole script is beyond ridiculous but the most annoying part is the casting. They could not find ethnic Chinese actors? Nellie LeeYa is half Korean and half Jewish, Jon Foo is half Singaporean Chinese and half British. First I thought their characters are Mexicans or American Indians.
Good to see films about the Armenian genocide because there aren't many about this horrendous atrocity. This one is very low budget so don't expect anything like the recently made The Promise. Probably the weakest part of this film is the acting, especially main actress who is also the director and the boy are very amateurish. Also the Turkish characters are very one dimensional. It's an American production, actors speak English with their native accents, it would have been more authentic if they would talk Armenian/Turkish. Overall if you're interested about the subject watch it but don't expect too much from this film.
