Great cast, terrible script After three episodes I'm giving up. Too much focus on the "spies" personal lives and drama and not enough on their operations. And too many flashbacks. I'm a big fan of British film and British TV series, especially their crime dramas.
This really isn't a traditional "spy drama", the characters don't work for a nation-state. They kill and collect intelligence to enrich those at the top of their company. It's murder for hire. They can't even say they are patriots.
I understand that fine actors often take parts in lesser productions to pay their bills, that's a reality of life.

I enjoyed "Conclave", it's not another sci-fi, supernatural or other overly contrived drama. It's set in a religious environment but it's not religious, it's about power, lust, lies, ambition, tradition vs reform and Vatican style politics. There are always lists of papabili or possible popes floating around, created by Vatican watchers and the media. It's always changing due to events like transfers, retirements and deaths. Sometimes the predictions are right, but often they are wrong.
There is an old Vatican saying, "He who enters the conclave as pope, leaves it as a cardinal". No matter what a cardinal feels his chances of being elected, that can all change when the cardinal electors are sequestered and voting. Lawrence (Fiennes) says to Bellini (Tucci) early on that he tried to resign as Dean but the late pope wouldn't allow it, Lawrence was told in effect that some are meant to be shepherds and some to manage the farm and he is a manager. Lawrence shows his management skills as he guides the conclave.
Great casting and screenplay and beautiful cinematography. Kudos to Edward Berger and all the cast and crew.

The problem with "Deck the Walls" is the problem with most rom-coms, a lousy script. It starts out funny and Wes Brown is really good with light fun roles, but Ashley Greens's character got bogged down in the past and nostalgia. That ruined the whole light nature of the film.
A high school principal getting in effect a "Habitat for Humanity" home, just didn't work for me. It just didn't pass the smell test so, the movie got another black mark. Danny Pellegrino seemed an odd casting choice, don't know what the producers had in mind.
It could have been a much more interesting movie by adding more humor and less of the past and nostalgia.
