Was the state in which this viewer was in. So.... as far as plot goes. Ask someone else.
I think this was my first foreign old school black-and-white horror film. I don't know which country. I'm too lazy to look it up right now.
The opening is hilarious and whoever she is (some sort of trickster witch?) warns us that she's gonna take our soul at midnight.
I think she means it. There is some douche man being controlling and a nicer guy who gets screwed hard.
I gather the bad man gets his comeuppance in the ending- and that's what that was.
It had some really impressive gore for its time.
My characters are met- this is the worst review I've ever written.
Now take my soul you fools!

This is by far my favorite Zombie film. I know some of you may cringe or laugh at this- so go you! You earned it!
Anyway- If you like or hate Rob Zombies other movies why not give the one-that seems to be- hated the most a chance?
If you like movies like The Holy Mountain or Altered States- even a little bit of 2001: A Space Odyssey ending. (directed by Moloch)
I can't imagine there isn't "something" to behold here (with an open heart) for fans of surreal and weird. Or a hard-Rated R for: Everything
Ironically its not really gory at all like House of a thousand Corpses/Devils Rejects/Halloween-
But its by far more abrasive and disturbing than any of those films.
If you like extremely vile witchcraft and satanism, this is your film. Told in a sort of inverse manner of Rosemary's Baby's structure.
That film builds slow but eventually explains all.
This film is a full on assault that doesn't explain anything- leaving it open to audiences with extremely wild imaginations to endlessly ponder.
I think Zombie made this for Zombie alone.
And that I respect. This movie scares the hell out of me too while allowing me to wallow in it's pure evilness-and still be able to walk away.
Which is sort of what Horror is to me. It allows us to be brave for a period of time but always knowing that it will end.
Final Note: Meg Foster is utterly incredible and horrifying here. She is no white witch. She's dirty and nasty and eternal. I suppose Sheri Moon Zombie is the white witch inherently- just my interpretation. She's awesome.
Praise Satan! (:
