By far the worst film I have every suffered through. This fails on every level: the script, the photography, the acting the directing are all bottom of the barrel. The story involves a mobster being shot and a police detective, who wears a white Panama hat, interrogates those who knew him. As they tell their story they describe the events of the the day which always includes a lame sex scene which has nothing to do with the story! The so called director should take a class in screen writing since the story lacks any character development nor plot points. Obviously this abortion of a film is the result of a rich kid who gets money from Daddy because they think that being a film maker would be a cool way of making a living. Don't give up you day job.
Don't waste your time watching this abomination.

I think most of the reviews previously entered on IMDb were placed by he cast crew or Anna Biller herself. This was the longest 120 minute film I have ever seen. Anna Biller seems to have some talent as a production designer but as an actor, director, writer or editor she is severely lacking. She seems to suffer from the often seen LA role as the spoiled daughter of a rich family who makes bad film and no one wants to tell her she is without talent.
This film was entered into dozens of film festivals and didn't win any awards, OK maybe one. I hope Anna will recognize her limitations and go back to painting.

Filled with Stilted acting, the actors seem to be lacking direction and just sleepwalk through the film. The doctor in particular seems to have only two modes: happy and grimacing. More nuance performances would have helped. The script goes in too many directions at once. A few promising threads just end for no reason. Too melodramatic. A better chef could have cooked up a more character driven yarn. The non traditional music rather than complimenting the film acts as an intrusion as it is calling attention to itself. A few of the characters were quoting lines which seem to be based on Buddhism but these lines add nothing to the story. Looks to be shot on film, but the lighting is only provided by a few existing lights or windows in each room and it is uneven. One scene in particular one can not see the actor's face but the items on the coffee table are fully illuminated. Based on the credit roll this film was shot during four different times of the year. But this adds nothing to the film. The films comes across as both glorifying sex yet at the same time warning of its consequences. Its tone comes across as too preachy. Several scenes show Christian religious symbols in the background. It would have been better if this was handled with a better level of subtly. Be sure to look for a cameo appearance of the director Zeke Zelker in the final scene of the film.
