WALL·E (2008)
Stars
This movie is so nice. And heart-touching. I've understood the whole film, even if there are just actions and no dialogue. This is the first ever robot movie that made me cry so much. I loved the part where I got to have many realizations in my life as well. I realized that we all have different natures in life. One can say that she's living her life even if she's just on a chair, having her comfiest comfort, watching a movie, and eating snacks. One says she's having the best life when she's exploring something new. I realized that it's different depending on one's perspective. It's different that for some, they realize that they want or have the best life when they reach something like a goal that is beyond their comfort zone. Just like Wall E and the one who became lovers. I have realized that life is really great because there are more things to explore in it. As long as you have money, well, in making money, your journey to it will experience different explorations, and that is great. I, as a person, believe that we are not the problem, but the environment of where we are. We don't feel much of our value if we are in the wrong environment. But because of this movie, I have realized that it's not solely because of the environment; we can become a contributing factor to its change too. We can contribute something for its betterment, for it to become what we want to be for the people and for ourselves. Yes, it is hard at first, and I deeply admire those people who fight for change-the right change. One step can become a significant step, and a ripple effect will follow. Lastly, I have realized I need to contribute more to our 17 sustainable development goals. Gosh, I have never realized that I will cry because of a robot movie. This is a very cute movie. Mej naaanek ako sa love story ni Eve and Wall E, pero gow okay. This movie was recommended by my friends, who said it was a must-watch. They did not fail.
Bar Boys (2017)
everytime you say you wanna quit, you just want help
Wow. This movie just motivated me to study the 16 articles assigned to us. This is a must-recommend movie for aspiring law students and aspiring lawyers. Well, the movie has the scene transitions of a normal movie. The colors were accurate for the movie theme. The movie gave me at least a little understanding of how law school works. I really witnessed how they grow up from cool teenage boys to hardworking law students, bar examiners, and then lawyers at the court. The last minutes of the movie got me; it is where all the big lines, lessons, and realizations are. There were scenes that made me pause the movie and think for a while. Even though I am not an aspiring lawyer, I was encouraged by the movie a little bit just now. I am also interested in watching the Bar Boys musical. Who wants to join me? Though I still need to think about it much since I came from a very far place from Makati.
(500) Days of Summer (2009)
I woke up and knew what I was never sure of with you
Indeed, it's a good movie. I was drawn to it because of its many awards and nominations, which led me to watch it immediately after studying. I saw myself in Tom's face and eyes when I'm attracted to, in love with, or fond of someone. Even in the first few minutes of the movie, you can already feel the spark and initial chemistry between the main leads. I didn't appreciate Summer's approach to entering a situationship for fun, while the other party had fallen for her. It's not my cup of tea, but I guess it's about going with the flow. I didn't like how Summer's character arc ended, but I just can't bring myself to dislike her because she is so pretty! I loved the part when Tom started to reclaim his life and pursued his career. I liked the ending and was stunned when I heard the name "Autumn". This is indeed not a love story, but a movie about love. This movie is a romantic comedy because I also laughed at some parts. It's a chill movie, perfect for a peaceful night.
Sing 2 (2021)
Perfect for performing arts heart girlies. and boys
100/10! This is definitely a movie I've been needing to start the year!
I was looking for a happy movie and scrolled up to this one. I was planning on just watching the first few minutes, but then got hooked up and continued watching. Wow, this is really perfect for theater or performing arts enthusiasts out there. It showcases what actually happens when preparing for a show and the process. I am speechless. I think I want a performing artist guy now after I've watched the monkey guy perform. He's totally my crush now; I love his voice. I kept crying while watching the show because of how amazing their talent is and how I would love watching it live in real life. I love this movie. To more watching theater shows in 2024!
Btw, Ms. Crawly is the best when keeping in charge!
Finally Found Someone (2017)
ready to lose everything but ready to gain the only thing that matters.
Ang cute. Very natural ang acting, parang totoong inlove
Maybe you are in love with the idea of being in love?
ANG GANDA NI SARAH G!
Dear Future wife, ikaw na ba 'tong nasa harap ko? Pag tumingin ka, oo.
*tumingin*
Haha wow!
That is why you have to heal first before loving someone else. You cannot give your pure self if you yourself still have wounds from your past issues. If you resolve it first, then you can now freely show your love to your other significant other. All of our shortcomings and desires came from the household we grew up in. If we grew up not being able to tell our family our feelings, then we will also be like that to someone, and we will always desire that they maintain communication with us. What we always find is the one who is not with us. I hope the soon-to be parents in there will heal first themselves before wanting to build a family. :) A lot of children experience this situation or pain as Rafael.
The scene where Rafael finally opens up about his feelings to his mother is so heartwarming. Truly, having communication with your parents is the best thing in the world. Thus, if I become a parent (which will not happen because I don't want a child, but still, who knows what will happen in the future (I truly hope not)), I will impose a mandatory open-up forum session with the family. Hahaha. Ang gaan gaan sa puso nun mga anteh, sana danas niyo
It's amazing if we all heal right and give the best version of ourselves to someone we love.
Isn't it amazing to be truly yourself when loving someone?
The best thing a woman can realize is her true worth and knowing that she really always deserves the best.
Four Sisters Before the Wedding (2020)
Best filipino movie that some of us can relate to
A good movie to cry on. This is the best movie because the acting of the actors was on point and realistic, their lines stayed on my mind, the storyline was relatable, and there was a happy ending. I had the same experience as them, except for the part when they made all the mistresses be in one room. That is why Filipinos are still the best movies to watch if you are Filipino, because you can relate because you have experienced some of them and have a high probability of experiencing them. This movie talks about the themes of love, siblings, marriage, life challenges, and more. The love teams also had chemistry. I cannot explain my feelings, but this is a good family movie to watch. Though I recommend watching it if you've healed from your family's situation like this and have passed through the challenge. But you can still watch it if you want to, if you have stronger emotions than mine. I hope all people get the chance to open up about their feelings toward their parents; it's the best feeling in the world.
Moana (2016)
Do you know who you are?
I watched this movie multiple times as a kid. Now that I have rewatched it, I understand more about the many life lessons and realizations this movie has brought to me. I love Moana; it is a good movie because, first, it's smooth character animation, the storyline is good, and it gives me motivation to keep thriving in life. Feminism yes. Moana is so brave. The ending part did not fail to make me cry again. It is very touching. If you are looking for motivation, this is the movie for you. It's amazing to ask ourselves who we really are after watching this movie. The songs were all good, and you can really sing a long song. 10/10.
The Little Mermaid (2023)
Under the sea~~~
I have watched this multiple times already. Disney has always produced the best movies. Movies outside my country have always produced the best fantasy movies. All actors' acting is incredible. The actors who played Ariel and Eric really do have chemistry. Eric is so handsome. The cutest part of their scenes was when they danced together and Ariel put his hat back again at him when they went home (castle). This movie has also taught me the realization that our children (if we are already parents) will also have their own family, and we must let them have their own family if they want to, and they can already. They have their freedom, and they are not children anymore. They can think for themselves. If we know that we raised them well, we do not have anything to worry about. Overall, a recommended movie.
Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016)
Superb and a real horror film
I rate it 10 out of 10. I am not a fan of horror movies, but I was made to watch this one because it is Halloween. The movie is not boring because, within the first few minutes, it already caught our attention. From then on, we got interested in finishing the movie. It has a good and realistic storyline. The way the horror characters appear is very realistic, and it is almost like they aren't edited out. I am amazed that the creatures brought out that they experienced cold. There are scenes that made us scream. The movie started simple, then the issue started, and then reached the climax, up to the resolution part. The movie caught us hanging in the end. I'm not happy with how the ending turned out, but it was indeed a good movie. I can say that this is my favorite horror film. The film does not contain gross scenes, and it is pure ghosts, dead, and seance, and that's why I love it. I've watched an Ouija film before this, and this one is definitely better and superb.
Verónica (2017)
It is okay
We watched this movie on November 1 because it's Halloween. I am not really a fan of horror movies, so I will still express my opinion about them in an objective manner. The story plot is not very cliche. Only a few scenes made us shiver due to the sudden scream and appearance of the character in the movie. Some parts were traumatizing, I mean for me, because I did not like the blood appearing on screens. I just covered my eye a little, but I am still watching the movie. The actresses were great at acting. The antagonist is a new one, but it's very similar to a series I've seen before, so I am not really well frightened by it. Overall, I think the movie is good if you are really a fan of horror. If you are a 'blank' or unemotional kind of person, it's not scary for you.
Turning Red (2022)
The best! very interesting storyline
It's a 10/10 movie from Disney again. I had so many realizations that I cannot list them here one by one. The film talks about: the outcomes of just being yourself, honoring your parents and the limits, mother's care, adapting to the change in us, breaking the generational trauma, controlling your emotions, friendship, tolerating wrongdoings, the teenager's life, and more! It was so good, and I definitely recommend it to everyone. The movie has a lot of scenes that are also very relatable. Perhaps because it was produced last year, there are a lot of scenes that we can witness in the world we live in.
Toy Story (1995)
You are what you think you are
It is a good movie. I am in the process of watching all Disney movies right now, and this is my third movie. It did not satisfy me as much as the previous movies. Well, we all have different tastes, and I want one that can make me cry. Let's see the next movie in Toy Story. Nonetheless, it is a great movie for some. The scene that stayed on my mind was the part where Buzz realized he wasn't the one he thought he was, and it was sad. We all thought that we were what we thought, but when the realization came that we weren't, it hit. It is sad that we are so confident about ourselves, and then the part comes that we really are not that person. This scene gave me the lesson that whatever happens, just be yourself. If that matter comes up, it's okay to take a break, and then life goes on again. This movie talks about jealousy, friendship, toys, betrayal, help, destruction, unity, understanding, and more.
Finding Nemo (2003)
Father's love is just amazing
This is a good movie. It was shown when I was in elementary school, but I cannot remember it, so I watched it now in my 18s. It shows how good feeling a father's love is. I cried in the part where Marlin fought the entire ocean just to be with his son. Our fathers are all really our low-key superheroes that we are proud to brag about, like mine. Nemo knew that his father was so brave, so he made an act that showed his bravery too; it is just so sweet. I realized that honoring your parents is important. They are strict with us about a certain thing because they've experienced it in a bad way. So, when that matter comes, we must understand them and reassure them; we should not hate them. This is one of the great movies Disney has produced that all ages can watch.
Dahil mahal na mahal kita (1998)
Love
I was looking for a romantic film to help me overcome my sadness. But I had no idea this movie was a love drama when I watched it! I rate it a perfect 10. I had brief conversations with myself about many scenes in the movies. I came to many conclusions. Up until the very end of the film, I was sobbing a lot. Rico Yan is now my crush! He is missed. This genre of film is particularly relevant for viewers who are hopeless romantics, in love, or simply enjoy romantic comedies. The only thing stopping me from making the first move on my school crush, according to rumors, is that he has a talking stage, but I, the viewer, am currently debating whether or not to do so. Because of this.
