1941 (1979)
It's going to be a long war
Very underrated comedy that never got the credit it deserved it's a very funny look at World War 2 California and of course John Belushi steals the film but the film also includes such stars as Dan Aykroyd,Ned Beatty,John Candy and Christopher Lee. I know it was hard to follow the success of Animal House and critics bashed this film when it was first released but I still don't understand why like I said it's a laugh a minute .perfect if you want to have a John Belushi movie night with first Animal House then 1941 and top it all off in style with The Blues Brothers. Believe me you won't be disappointed.
Instant Family (2018)
Very touching heartwarming family film
A very enjoyable heartwarming moving touching family film with touches of drama this film won't disappoint you it's a pleasure to watch and the cast is brilliant. Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne give top notch performances as the couple who adopt three foster children and the young actors are very excellent in there roles.the storyline is a mix between comedy and drama as the couple try to adjust to there new life as parents and the children struggle to accept there new family.this is a film that the whole family can watch together it's very touching and moving and really gets to your heart.i give this movie two thumbs up.
The Wiz (1978)
The Wiz is fantastic
I'm tired of hearing all the negativity about The Wiz saying it's not as great as The Wizard of Oz everyone is wrong The Wiz is a very upbeat musical that has become a cult classic over the years I don't have enough good things to say about this movie I love it so much have it on DVD and never get tired of watching the musical numbers are out of this world and the casting is top notch Ted Ross is brilliant as The Cowardly Lion Nipsey Russell shines as The Tin Man and Michael Jackson was born to play The Scarecrow and Diana Ross brightens the screen as Dorothy so if you haven't seen this movie ease on down and watch it.
Blackpink: The Movie (2021)
Blankpink in your area
Blankpink have taken over this movie shows why they are the queens of K-pop being a fan of this girl group I couldn't wait to see this movie and I wasn't disappointed and if your a fan you won't be disappointed this movie is an in-depth look at the phenomenon of Blankpink and really lets them shine in all there glory if you haven't seen it yet hurry up and watch .a must for all fans of Blankpink and if your not a fan this movie will make you become a fan.like I said for a fan like me this movie really is a highlight it shows the group in all there glory showing why they have become the queens of K-pop.
The Thorn Birds (1983)
A very interesting miniseries
The thorn birds was a very controversial miniseries for it's time when it first aired in 1983 and also one of the most highest rated tv hits.going through a story of different generations with the basic plot being the forbidden romance between Father Ralph (Richard Chamberlain)and Maggie (Rachel Ward) and starring a star studded cast .I just ordered this miniseries on DVD on Amazon I can't wait to see it again I haven't watched it a while and if you haven't seen it yet you don't know what your missing. I highly recommend it you won't be disappointed it will definitely keep your interest even though it's very long running over 7 hours.
Dirty Grandpa (2016)
Not what I expected
Was watching Dirty Grandpa tonight on television because I was curious from the way they advertised it I was expecting something better.its the story of a grandson who on the eve of his wedding takes off to Daytona Beach where they have sexual escapades.there are some funny moments but it's mostly a lame film that I would stay away from if I were you.its mostly a lame ripoff of bachelor party with this time a grandson and grandfather in the mix.basically a lame excuse to look at some barely dressed hot chicks.even the jokes are lame and the plot is way below average a total bomb in my book I say.
Stir Crazy (1980)
Wilder and Pryor a match made in heaven
Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor play two friends who are sent to prison for a crime they didn't commit in what is in my opinion one of the best comedies from the 1980s and definitely worth a watch you won't be disappointed.
Superman III (1983)
Not the best Superman
Not one of the better superman movies with Christopher Reeve but there are some high moments like when superman fights his bad side and straightens the leading tower of pisa.
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Why do we need another top gun
I know a lot of people will disagree with me but why do we need another top gun movies it's just trying to repeat the first part the only good quality of this film is the title song but like I said why do we need another top gun movie Tom Cruise needs to make new movies and stop trying to relive the past.
Elvis (2022)
The king is back
Excellent biography of Elvis and his relationship with his manager Colonel Tom Parker with brilliant performances by Austin Butler in the lead role and Tom Hanks as the Colonel both deserve academy awards and it won't surprise me if this film wins the Oscar for best picture.its very emotional so don't forget the tissues. Elvis fans won't be disappointed.
Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park (1978)
Only for hard core kiss fans
I recommend this for hard core Kiss fans only because as for the rest of it the acting is awful, the plot isn't that bad as a mad scientist wants to take over the world using look a likes of Kiss that he created. I can see why Kiss is imbarassed by this film and refuse to talk about it.
Scream Blacula Scream (1973)
The black prince is back
Blacula is back and more terrifying then even as he is brought back to life by voodoo and his thirst for blood is even more I just wish they had done a third part in 3D imagine Blacula coming at you in 3D.
Dracula A.D. 1972 (1972)
Dracula in hippy London
Some people say a lot of bad things about this movie like it was a bad idea putting Dracula in modern times but I liked the movie and also liked the plot how Van Helsings grandson goes against Dracula who has come back to destroy the Van Helsing and what helps the movie is the presence of such beautiful woman as Stephanie Beacham and Caroline Munroe .I don't think fans of Christopher Lee will be disappointed in this movie and I still don't know why critics talked so bad about.sink your teeth in Dracula AD 1972.
Dracula (1979)
A romantic Dracula
I always loved this version of Dracula Frank Langella was great as Dracula I can see why this movie won the Saturn award in 1979 for best horror film .the casting was also perfect with fine work by the legendary Laurence Olivier as Van Helping.after the 1931 version of Dracula with Bela Lugosi in my opinion this is the best version of Dracula even better then Francis Ford Coppola's 1992 version.if you are looking for a perfect version of Dracula this movie won't disappoint you .I just ordered my copy on Blu Ray today and can't wait to enjoy this movie again. I give this movie a perfect 10.
Elvis (1979)
The greatest biography about Elvis
John Carpenter has done a good job telling the story of Elvis and they could not have picked an actor as great as Kurt Russell to play Elvis he really looks like Elvis and even sounds like him and hats off to the whole movie if fans want to see the best biography about Elvis look no further then this movie the only bad thing is that Kurt Russell should have won an Emmy.
The Godfather Part II (1974)
The best sequel to a movie ever made
The Godfather Part 2 is the greatest sequel ever made and to think at first Francis Ford Coppola was afraid of doing a sequel because he thought it wouldn't be as good as the first part. I love the way he came up with the idea of mixing two stories together Vito's and Michael's .Robert DeNiro was a perfect choice as the young Vito Corleone and it was interesting to see how Vito became the Don and how he came in contact with Clemenza and Tessie.so if you want to see the best movie sequel ever made look no further then The Godfather Part 2 it's an offer you can't refuse the only think I don't think was fair was Al Pacino not winning an Oscar as Michael Corleone but besides that I think this movie is a masterpiece well deserving of the academy awards it won.
This Is Elvis (1981)
The definitive film on Elvis
Elvis lives in the definitive movie made about him the story starts with when Ginger Alden finds his dead body and then we move on to how fans reacted to the king's death and then from there the movie takes you on a journey through his whole life through his successful career a career that ended tragically at only 42 years old I really enjoyed the clips from his career and the way they showed other moments of his career by using actors and I thought it was cool using Ral Donner the best Elvis sound a like to make it sound like Elvis telling his own story.so all the Elvis fans out there if you want the definitive story of Elvis search no further then This is Elvis.
The Godfather Part III (1990)
A good ending to the Corleone saga not as bad as I thought
Michael Corleone's plan to finally legitimize the family don't work out as he planned as he finds out the Vatican stock brokers are just as crooked and not happening matters is Sonny's illegitimate hot head son Vincent Mancini who Michael takes a liking to and chooses as his heir the new head of the family but Michael's daughter Mary falls for her first cousin something Michael is not to happy about. I thought the storyline was very good and I can see why it got 7 academy award nominations and I think Andy Garcia should have won an Oscar. I don't understand why some critics think part three wasn't as good as the first two I think it was a masterpiece and I look forward someday to them finally making The Godfather Part 4 and continuing the rise of Don Vincenzo Corleone they could even maybe show flashback scenes of how his father Sonny got into the family business something of a plot like Part 2 mixing two stories together Vincent's and Sonny's and they could even have someone like Leonardo DiCaprio playing the young Sonny I think it would work.hope to see it happen maybe they could even start the movie with Michael's funeral.
Blacula (1972)
The black prince of darkness
Blacula in my opinion is one of the scariest vampire movies of the 1970s William Marshall was very scary as a vampire .The scene with the cab driver running in the funeral home scared the pants out of me when I was saw this movie and I wish they would make a remake of Blacula set in the year 2000 they could call it Blacula 2000 and have Denzel Washington play the part he would make a perfect Blacula maybe someone like Stephen King could direct it remember he did Salem's lot I would really like to see it happen maybe they could do it in the plot where Blacula is brought back to life with a blood ritual where blood is poured on his bones .I would really like to see the Blacula story continue .
