I saw this movie at the Manhattan Film Festival and was extremely impressed by the writing, character development, storyline and production value. What made the film even more impressive is when I found out that the movie was made on such a limited budget...wow!!! I honestly didn't have the highest expectations going into the movie and have to say I was very surprised how much I liked and enjoyed it! The acting was top notch and it was clearly evident that everyone attached to this film was passionate about the outcome. The story was gripping and the characters evolved naturally and believably throughout the plot. Great job and great movie!!!
If you love great cinema and are tired of big budget films with no story line and over the top nonsense, like I am, then this is a film for you. Such a refreshing change from all crap that Hollywood has been putting out lately. Great story with real organic acting that comes from the heart. Fantastic story and directing by Johnny Greenlaw. The cinematography made me feel connected to the locations and characters ala Woody Allen. And the soundtrack by the incredibly talented Paulo Coelho just takes this film to another level. Films like this come out too far and in-between these days. I hope that the Hollywood takes a lesson in humility and starts making wonderful films like this once more. Catch this while you can.

We were fortunate to have seen this outstanding film at its premiere in the metro New York area. From the opening sequence to the emotionally touching ending, this wonderful film kept us engaged throughout. The character, Nick, as portrayed by Johnny Greenlaw expertly takes you on a journey of discovery that leaves the viewer very satisfied. It is impressive for an indie film to combine passionate music created by Paulo Coelho, top notch acting and a well written story that by far exceeds and excels. Kudos to Johnny Greenlaw for successfully combining acting, writing and directing a quality film. We strongly recommend that you do not miss seeing this thought provoking movie. You will not be disappointed. We look forward to seeing the next film this talented cast and crew will produce for our enjoyment.
I caught this at the Manhattan Film Fest and I was pleasantly wowed. Usually at these film fests, as of late, there are crazy (and poorly acted) videos (cause you can't call em movies) that are either about thugs, zombies or nothing. Mommy's Box is so different. An actual story with characters you can relate to that have a complex back story...so you can relate AND care about them! The film is almost entirely well acted, the filming is BEAUTIFUL and the score is so evocative. What I also liked is that there were REASONS for everything happening. The bad characters weren't comic book bad....there was a well explored story as to WHY. When I heard it won the best feature film award at Manhattan Film Fest I wasn't surprised.
ps- I took a star off for the acting of a couple secondary characters and for having to explain to people I wasn't seeing a dirty movie!!!!

A must see film. This film is loaded with talent from the screenplay to the camera work to the outstanding performances of the actors. I would recommend it to all. This is the kind of film that keeps you watching and wanting more. It is thoroughly professional, The writer and directing work is stellar artistic. The audio and video was of excellent quality. It definitely deserves the winning of the best feature film title at the Manhattan film festival. The story line was easy to follow from start to finish and was very well laid out. It is one of those rare films that succeeds on every level and makes your repeated viewings worth your while. The sound track was memorable in of itself.
