I am a guy and I like all genres of movies as long as they're good movies. My favorite genre is romance. The synopsis intrigued me, so I approached this movie with an open mind.
The writers of this movie clearly hate men. The wife is a successful radio host, and she wants a baby. The husband is hesitant because his acting career is in a major slump and he doesn't feel as if he is a good provider. Of course, in the movie it's portrayed that it's perfectly normal for the wife to be incredibly demanding, and the husband's feelings are unreasonable.
Egged on by her man hating friend the wife drastically punishes the husband for a perceived indiscretion in which the husband is totally innocent. What do the writers do? They have the husband apologize. If this happened to me in real life I would be livid. The husband has given NO signs in their two year marriage that he is anything less than 100% faithful to his wife. It's a totally unreasonable reaction.
The movie is totally unrealistic due to the man hating vibes it gives off. If I were in this situation I would begin to question why I should remain in a marriage with such a demanding and vindictive woman.
