This is the kind of movie you watch if you just want to laugh. It's the movie you see when you have a bunch of friends over on a Friday night and you want to unwind.
Will it win an Oscar? Not a chance, but it isn't horrible. The plot is pretty transparent and some of the acting is meh, but it's watchable.
This just isn't the kind of movie that a critic even has to review, in my opinion. It'll never win over a critic who takes themselves too seriously.
I agree with another reviewer that said this movie tries a little too hard to be funny, but you end up having a really great time watching it. It does have hilarious moments that make it worth watching.

As teacher, I saw this film as a sort of nice joke trying, in hard manner, to seduce its public. And doing a reasonable job. Sure, a lot of cliches and the reality of teacher work gives many good points. But it is not more than one of many easy commedies with familiar names and sketches of performances and script for a not too high form of entertainment. So, teacher, fight and few drops of sentimental scenes. Old recipe, decent product.
Bout the dumbest movie I've ever seen but thankfully it knows what it is. I mean it's a stupid comedy, I can't really hate it if I laughed and I don't think going deeper into the movie is worth it. And the fist fight was surprisingly not terribly made. I would recommend this if you know this is your kind of movie.
I swear all the time, but this movie took swearing to a whole new level. It made it hard to watch.
I laughed once at Tracy Morgan, but the rest was just intense and not funny. It was like a drama where you felt bad for the people in the movie. Nothing comical about it.
A guy brought his six-year-old to the show. Don't do that! It makes it very uncomfortable for other people who give a crap about impressionable kids.
We actually left early because it was too hard to watch (both the movie and the kid soaking it all in) and we felt like we were wasting our time.

Dumb. Stupid. Not to be taken seriously.
That's how I would describe Fist Fight, but if you just want a quick laugh then this film is worth checking out.
It's hard to analyse a film like this because the plot is ridiculous and so over the top. It's not trying to be anything special so we have to take it for what it is. I done that and end up laughing more than I probably should have done.
The characters are all one dimensional and up to no good. Charlie Day and Ice Cube are both play their usual characters and provide enough laughs throughout the short run time of 80 or so minutes. Jillian Bell was an excellent supporting character. I think the funniest scene was the Father/Daughter sing and dance competition.
Not the funniest film you could wish to see but still enjoyable for a quick laugh. 7/10.
