Yeah, this is Asylum work right here. Get an idea from a future movie, slightly make it different and call it your own. Never been a fan of this, even tho a few such productions were 'so bad its good', but sadly Freddy's Friday misses the mark.
It really is a bland movie, with hollow characters, little to no plot, 0 development, what you see from the very first minutes is also the ending, and one truly laughable third act fight scene. One of the absolute worst, like those 70's low budget kung fu scenes.
No reason to recommend this, it is quite bad, no real moving forward with the story and an ending to fit the entire movie. Look elsewhere, this is bad
Cheers!

Right, well I have to admit that I was actually expecting a "Five Nights at Freddy's" rip-off movie here, as I sat down to watch the 2023 movie "Freddy's Fridays". I mean, the title alone and the fact that it was released the very same year that "Five Nights at Freddy's" came out, just can't be a coincidence.
However, writers Charlie Carter and Tom Carter delivered something quite different. This was a strange movie in itself, because it was a bit all over the place. It felt most of all like a mixture of any random generic slasher flick, with some "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" elements thrown into the formula. The concept of "Freddy's Fridays" was a bit odd and all over the place, making it a very random and erratic movie. And that ultimately took a toll on the overall enjoyment of the movie.
I have to say that I found the storyline and narrative in "Freddy's Fridays" to be a bit too erratic and unstructured, so I wasn't particularly entertained here. Plus the fact that I was expecting it to be a mockbuster on "Five Nights at Freddy's" and it wasn't, well that was just a disappointment.
The acting performances in "Freddy's Fridays" were okay. You're not in for an evening of stellar performances from famous actors and actresses. In fact, I didn't know anyone on the cast. Sure, there were a couple of faces that I think I've seen before, but I wouldn't be able to tag a name on the faces, nor pinpoint in what movies I might have seen them.
Visually then "Freddy's Fridays" was okay. I was expecting animatronics, but instead we were treated to a very random collection of killers in odd costumes. Sure, it might have worked out if writers Charlie Carter and Tom Carter hadn't set up the movie to appear to be a mockbuster on "Five Nights at Freddy's". Sure, the costumes were actually interesting enough, but I was just expecting something quite different.
"Freddy's Fridays" was not a particularly enjoyable horror movie, because I was very disappointed with what director Ben J. Williams delivered. And it is not a horror movie that I would recommend fans of the horror genre to rush out and get to watch. Nor is it a movie that I will ever return to watch a second time.
My rating of "Freddy's Fridays" lands on a three out of ten stars.

I love horror movies and I think there are many underrated movies that why I wanted to give this a try especially with the recent release of five nights and Freddys.
The movie follows a many trying to make a deal with a demon for untold riches. To give this they need to sacrifice a soul every Friday for 8 weeks. There is not much explained in the movie about Freddy, the book used to summon him or even why it has to be in a Friday so I was left with more questions than answers.
I also don't really see the connection between Freddy and the gang. Freddy looks alittle like an animatronic with glowing eye hidden behind a mask. However, the others are a clown and scarecrow. They just don't seem to fit together well and it really takes away from the movie.
Another thing I really struggled to ignore was the outfit designs. Some of the characters looks scary but this was broken with the bright white trainers and knee high socks.
Also the ending didn't seem to go anywhere either. They found a solution in how to deal with Freddy and put and end to what is happening but even with this information decided not to act upon it leaving Freddy to come back yet again.
I At the end I felt disappointed and like I had wasted my time. It's sad because it had potential to be a decent movie.

I'm not even going to address the details of this dumpster fire they call a movie. I want to know how these movies get made? What studios are handing out money for these movies. You're seriously telling me that a movie like this can get green lit and funded knowing that it will never get a theatrical release and never make that money back? But a movie like Deadpool sat on a shelf for 13 years and only got made because Ryan had to "accidentally" release some of it online. This is the world we live in?!?!
This is why the movie industry is dying, wasting money on crap like this. And because studios are wasting money on movies that not even lifers in prison would watch if it was their only option, really good movies get their budgets cut, or they just keep remaking the same movies over and over because it would cost too much money to buy original quality scripts. There are so many other movies that took writers and actors decades to get made because the studios wouldn't fund them, and when they finally do get made they turn out to be Oscar worthy movies, while over those decades money is being thrown away to pieces of crap like this! I mean please be honest, not the producer, writer, director, actors or distributors thought that this movie was going to add anything to the industry, it is never going to be the movie that some great entertainer accepting an award someday says was their inspiration. This movie is equivalent to some teens that found a camera and made a movie in their backyard, only with an actual budget and pretty girls.
And I'm sorry to be this mean but if you are an actor who can't seem to get a part in any movies other than these, then you really should have taken the hint by now, if all that is required to act is too remember words, fake emotions, and make faces to match that emotion or to look like you're reacting to something then everyone should be acting... Especially the women 😉 right ladies.
It just infuriates me to the core. There are good bad b horror films that I've either loved or at least got a kick out of them. This is there definition of RAGE WATCHING! Do better filmmakers!

I got sucked in by the title. It took a couple of seconds to realise I wasn't watching Five Nights at Freddy's but a low budget rip off.
Where to start with this steam pile of dog do do... the acting is sub par, the script is terrible, even the lighting is bad. The 'monsters' looked cheap.
I found nothing enjoyable in this movie.
I was in agony watching this and turned it off after twenty minutes. I wonder where the budget for this trash comes from.
Don't even watch this with friends as a laugh.
The people who gave this a ten are obviously involved with this blight on humanity parading as a movie.
Please stay away, I beg you, for your own good.

- This film suffers a bit from poor acting....
- Suffers a bit more from bad casting (I mean the "tough" captain's voice could NOT be less intimidating - like listening to a 5 year old yell at you... and it's your boss.)
- It suffers more from REALLY bad CGI blood effects... spirt, spirt.. not more spirts~!!
- It is ruined entirely by bad Directing.
It really the Direction that ruin this on the whole. The scene blocking is just really poor much of the time. I could toleration the mediocre acting and the bad CGI if the Direction was better. Most of the time you get the sense that you're just standing in the wrong place to see what's going on. Or conversations are filmed from WAY too close up. Seems VERY amateur.
Wasn't scary.. stupid story.. won't ever tolerate it again.
Such a good movie that 100% isn't related to five nights at freddy's. Seriously, so good and toootally not a rip off of Five night at freddy's. Seriously! Such a good and creative movie! Totally original idea. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this original and high quality idea. Idk how the producer even came up with this!!! It was so good!!!! I've never seen anything like it! The animatronics were such a great detail that i definitely haven't seen before. Seriously, i enjoyed this totally individual and original idea. The director is going far in life with his crazy creativity. Hopefully he'll make a thursday the 14th movie.

Look, people don't have to like the Five Nights at Freddy's movie, but good god, this movie doesn't try to hide it. Like, after this train wreck, people need to apologize to the Five Nights at Freddy's movie.
Movies like The Banana Splits Movie and Willy's Wonderland, at least tries to do SOMETHING unique with their movies and helps them stand out, but Freddy's Fridays does nothing engaging to even stand out from the rest.
But hey, when you got the people behind "Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey" on this, it's best to make sure you have ZERO expectations. They don't even bother trying to change the poster and the name of the mascot! So do you REALLY expect this company to try and think outside of the box?
At least the Five Nights at Freddy's movie has incredible practical effects and animatronics, likable characters, cool settings, and it at least tried! Yes, the movie has it's flaws, but you can't say that there is no effort or passion in the FNAF movie. If they didn't care, they easily could gone the "Blood and Honey" route and got garbage Freddy Fazbear masks, and called it a day. But that's not what they did now, is it?
So while I appreciate projects like The Banana Splits Movie, Willy's Wonderland, The Hug, etc. For at least trying with their movies, Freddy's Fridays is a Five Nights at Freddy's ripoff that's best for everyone, to be forgotten.

This movie is bad. Very bad. The title and the demons are an obvious attempt to ride the coattails of the inexplicable popularity of Five Nights at Freddy's, and the main demon is even called Freddy, though they make a point of letting you know that his real name is Frederique. Gotta' be legally distinct, I guess. Just like the book that summons these Party City costume "demons" is legally distinct from the Necronomicon.
But they repeatedly say that the demons can only be summoned on Fridays, but they show up one time on a Saturday. You might watch this and wonder why the protagonist and her boss keep talking about how they need to call for backup, but never actually do it. My guess is they couldn't afford any other actors.
An awful movie, but I raised my rating from one star to two, because the lead actress Danielle Scott seems like she's actually a pretty good actress. I'm convinced that a couple of scenes where she loses her cool weren't scripted, and it was actually Scott getting frustrated with how bad the script was. But then she reminded herself to be professional, and that she was getting paid. Just my theory, though.
But her being talented and attractive isn't enough to recommend the movie. It's still very bad.

I like to sit through the films I start watching, but Freddy's Fridays has nothing entertaining about it. I went into the film knowing it was going to be bad, but I underestimated how bad it was. The story is vague and not cohesive, and Freddy and his gang are some of the least threatening mascots I have ever seen. The editing was bad, and a lot of the time they didn't bother with replacing a sound with something to match the action. They didn't tell us why Tom was being haunted by Freddy and the Gang, and I don't want to keep watching to find out. That should be something we learn at the beginning. I at least enjoy the bad horror films I watch, but Freddy's Fridays has ZERO redeeming features.

This movie was a waste of my time, and I'll regret losing the time for the rest of my life. The horror aspect was overshadowed by the extended talking scenes, that had no true development of characters or even any bearing on the plot. I'd hoped that it would redeem itself through the characters or through scenery at the very least, but it truly was a low budget rip-off.
I am usually able to force myself through movies that I don't particularly enjoy, but I had to truly force myself for this one, and I regret it. The fight scene(read scene in quotations) made me laugh. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone at all, not even as a joke.

Freddy's Fridays is an exemplary cinematic masterpiece that seamlessly weaves a tapestry of suspense, horror, and artistry. The film exhibits a brilliant amalgamation of gripping storytelling and visually stunning cinematography, captivating audiences from the very first frame to the climactic conclusion. The narrative intricacies and character development in Freddy's Fridays are unparalleled, transcending the boundaries of conventional horror tropes.
The meticulous attention to detail in crafting the chilling atmosphere is commendable, with each scene meticulously constructed to evoke a sense of impending dread. The exceptional performances from the cast elevate the film to a level of sophistication seldom seen in the horror genre. The seamless integration of practical effects and cutting-edge CGI further underscores the dedication to delivering an unparalleled cinematic experience.
However, it would be remiss not to draw a pointed comparison with the misguided attempt that is the Five Nights at Freddy's movie. While Freddy's Fridays effortlessly embraces the essence of horror storytelling, the Five Nights at Freddy's adaptation falters in its execution. The film, unfortunately, succumbs to the pitfalls of superficial jump scares and an overreliance on the source material, resulting in a lackluster and uninspired rendition.
In contrast, Freddy's Fridays transcends the limitations of its genre, establishing itself as a cinematic triumph that will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on the annals of horror history. It is a testament to the filmmakers' prowess in delivering a truly unforgettable and elevated horror experience. Freddy's Fridays stands as a shining example of what horror cinema can achieve when approached with innovation, intelligence, and an unwavering commitment to storytelling excellence.

Following a string of disappearances, a detective decides to investigate a supposed suspect in the area who's found to be duping call girls in the area back to his place and offering them up as sacrifices to a group of demonic beings summoned through a sacred ritual and tries to stop it before it continues.
This was a rather solid if slightly flawed genre effort. One of the finer features of this one is the intriguing setup that provides a rather strong starting point for the introduction of the various plot points present. The initial crux of the story being based on the investigation of the missing prostitutes from the specific section of the city and how it leads her into the lifestyle where it brings her into contact with the suspected killer and his black magic ways give the first half a rather solid start. Keeping things a bit low-key looking into the history of the criminal and the crossover with the skeevy lifestyle at the center of the situation, this is all quite solid enough in giving context to everything going on around them while still maintaining a far classier vibe with the material that slowly turns into a darker overall setup for a lot to like with this. That leads into the other fun part here where the outcome of the situation is a solid series of kill scenes offering the demonic creatures getting involved in the various sacrifices. Despite the setup of the whole affair, there's quite a lot to like with the way the robotic creatures are brought about and start graphically dismembering their unsuspecting victim where the gruesome concept and stellar practical effects allow for some fun times. The series of scenes featuring the women being led in as sacrifices are all quite cheesy fun here while the later scene of them ambushing one of her friends to take her off their scent comes off well enough before leading into the big finale where the reveals about the kind of ritual that has to be performed in a certain way and how it connects to the setup brings about a generally fun finish to this one which gives this one a lot to like here. There are some minor issues present that hold this one down. The main issue with this one is the way it treats the source material it's ripping on which is quite oddly structured here. Rather than opt for the robotic animatronics brought to life that the original is based on, the origin of the creatures here is based on a different source altogether that still bizarrely allows them to retain their robotic influences with their appearance and behavior that just comes off quite weird. This causes them to be quite at odds with each other overall which brings about a strange tonal shift in the way they're presented alongside the other issue here with the repetitive nature of how these scenes come off. With the ritual required to bring everything along, all of these scenes being repetitive by design doesn't help them stand out beyond the graphic carnage committed, and with the low-budget featured throughout here are the issues holding it back.
Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Language and Graphic Violence.
