This show has potential, and I enjoyed all of the cast members with the exception of the main character. Skylar Astin is just another milktoast ho hum amateurish actor with little charisma and even less acting ability. Cant we have a main character that people want to root for? I want to preface this next statement by stating I am Jewish. Having said this, does every new show have to have a main character that is 5'6" and Jewish? It gets really old and this Lipstein guy has to be related to someone, he cant be the best option they could find.
I also think the first 2 episodes were good, but much too formulaic. The jokes often seemed much too set up and contrived and not spontaneous enough. I would like to think if they worked on this a little more I would tune back in, but honestly, the main actor isn't going anywhere, and because of it I expect this sitcom to last no more than a season or two.

O M G. I only knew about this show because I like to catch old reruns of Married With Children on the notoriously unfunny channel, TBS. Due to the ridiculous storyline, I knew I would not be carving out time to catch this dullard of a comedy, any time soon. One boring day, I thought it would be convenient to watch an episode on Comcast ONDEMAND. At least I could fast forward through the boring parts if it got stupid.
I eventually had to turn it off. I saw the episode where that guy from Spring Awakening had to decide between going to a baseball game with his boss and going to the game with that girl on the ground floor. Needless to say, I will never know what he did because I couldn't take the cheap puns and ridiculous overacting. The supporting, no name actors probably get stuck with the worst material. But hey, we all have to make a buck don't we.
I will say that I like the fact that the producers choose to cast a beautiful lead actress that isn't the size of a pencil. I think that Skylar guy from Pitch Perfect would be more believable if they had cast him as the gay best friend. Anyway, the show sucks, find something on cable that would make you laugh. Peace

There are many shows that I like for very different reasons. For example, the reasons I like The Big Bang Theory are dissimilar to the reasons I like Parks and Rec, or Modern Family, or even The Neighbors. I found this to be true for Ground Floor as well.
I've read all the reviews on IMDb, and if you read a review where someone rates this show a 1/10, then you know that person is just being rude and cynical for their own perverted pleasure and nothing more. They think it's cool or hip to undermine a show. It's not, however it is sad.
My reasoning for giving this show a 8/10 is very simple, I enjoyed the story. Is Ground Floor some new paradigm shifting show that'll transform the world of situational comedies in the 21st century? No, but then again, its not trying to be.
Many of the shows out there today are just copies of copies. This can be said for about 85 percent of the new sitcoms that aired this Fall on network TV. But even the very worse show on TV doesn't deserve a 1/10. This snarky new fad of putting every thing down is pathetic.
The fact is, I enjoyed the show. I laughed at the jokes, enjoyed the characters, reveled at the chemistry of the love interests and felt a sense of nostalgia for a few cast members. What more can I ask for from a show? People, we have a Big Bang Theory and a Modern Family, and now, we have a Ground Floor, a little show with a big heart. And I predict it'll only get better as it matures.
So Give this show a chance and see if its for you because chances are, you're looking for a little heart with your laughs.

OK. I have almost forgot about Ground Floor. Who is in it? Never mind! And I'm totally confusing it with Cristela, another sitcom with a working environment where the Boss is rich and almighty and with his office a few meters ...left of the screen. (note: Cristela came out later.)
Anyway. This is a comedy and it's all about how funny it is and about the chemistry of the actors.
So...this is a fun comedy. I won't bash it or anything. There is a romance and some hidden feelings between the boss and his best employees for a dime's worth emotions. There are some quirky characters to add to the laugh.
Well...it's OK.
Overall: Check it out. Classic sitcom with the usual fake laugh track. It doesn't bother me to watch it.

I saw the trailer on TV and decided to watch the show because of Briga Heelan.
The show has a good cast and a simple enough premise of an office comedy. Characters aren't really over the top, although a few have really strong personalities. My biggest surprise was seeing John C. McGinley, who plays Dr Cox in Scrubs and I loved his character in that show and he plays something similar here.
I had a good laugh watching this show, and felt entertained through its entirety. I have no idea why people are rating it 1/10, at least be honest with yourself and give this a 6-7/10 which it deserves when compared to some of the other supposed top comedy shows that are out at the moment, like How I met your mother which has gone completely downhill.
The three main leads have good chemistry together and I feel like as the show builds upon itself and we get to know the characters more, it will only get funnier.
