Nice, sweet , realistic, fair mix of comedy and drama.
A young Philipino in Los Angeles. Enthusiastic about a prize for his short film, it becomes victim of a crook. And, after short time, it finds a roomate wizth potential to become a real precious friend.
Not exactly the story but its construction is just lovely, from the manner to explore familiar themes to the stories of characters and relations. And, sure, the honest perspective, with high potential to remind personal experiences, works more than well.
In short, a smart mini series , with few wise crafted dramatic scenes, with seductive moments ( it proposes a just nice image of dragqueen ).

This show started to be a promising series and I looked forward to watching each episode every week. However, it ended so abruptly without a logical conclusion.
The title "Stay" stays in limbo. Joshua never asked Andre to stay. It isn't clear either when he started to like Andre more than his rent money. This series could have been more time worthy if some scenes had been deleted. Andre's conversations with his mother were far too long and draggy. And what's with the Ru Paul wannabee?
I hope the producers/writers redeem themselves and come up with a sequel with a storyline that is more fluid and cohesive. They should also tap the acting skills of the actor who played Joshua. He could be far more endearing than the robot-like moves that he was directed to act.

This was a absolute brilliant mini series and its a pity it ended as it did in episode 7 the series has a lot of potential and eager urge to find out what happens next will andre get to see joshua again will they make up what happens between them so please can the writer of this mini series reconsider and complete this love storie you started i feel it is quite based on real live events were 2 individuals who found each other in a weird yet relatable way and start to get to know each other and fall for each other at the same time the end leaves a lot of un answered question that me myself and i know others who watched the miniseries want to know.
