The entire first story is just obnoxious and terrible. It's clear they were going for some kind of comedy, but every single attempt falls flat and it just becomes, very quickly, obnoxious. The entire plot is bad, the writing even worse. Nothing about it was entertaining or surprising and nothing about it landed in any way. The second story is, slightly, better wich is where the 3 stars comes from, but that's all it really deserves. These episodes that lean so far I to humor over horror always land flat. The horror and comedy aren't always well balanced and most of the humor falls very flat, but this episode is the worst so far. You can skip this one. Neither story is entertaining, interesting or really anything. It's just really, really bad.
This had the makings of a great episode, but sunk with the same gravity. Not only did this season go off the rails (so far), but so did the first part of this episode. The second part, well... I'll let you be the judge. Full of nothing but a bunch of filler writing and an unnessicarily fake New York accent. Still a fight between differences. Oooh, so groundbreaking. While I do love the hope for a match for the original, any of the other episodes seem to be less of a waste of time. In other words, the series isn't completely lost, just this episode. If not for anything else, for humanity. Good luck.
This episode 3 from season 4 of "AMC's", and "Shudder's" "Creepshow" series called "Parent Death Trap/To Grandmother's House We Go" was one interesting episode with both tales twisting with drama and gore and they end in unexpected ways.
First is "Parent Death Trap" a tale that involves Lyle a rich yet sheltered and nerd like boy who has demanding parents who want to control his life and make all of the choices for him. So it's a good ideal that Lyle takes care of them or so he thinks, however so comfort and pleasure is found when the girl of his dreams Violet(Chloe Babcook) takes and marries him. And passion is felt(I love that scene of Violet in that sexy black strapless bra!) only past memories and ghostly haunts have it all doomed for Lyle as he just couldn't escape his parents!
Second is "To Grandmother's House We Go" which involves Marcia a sexy gold digging lady who loves and leaves them only her latest journey is to take her stepdaughter to visit her grandmother. And they must travels thru the spooky woods and a fun and entertaining gore like tease is given, and the episode twist in the end with a surprise ending. It was a pretty good take and twisted view of "Little Red Riding Hood". Overall well entertaining and gore like fun episode that lived up to the series standards.
