An interesting plot for a German crime thriller. Especially the 2nd part is worth seeing, even if the subplot feels much more exciting than the boring main plot. The two main actors try to make the best of the bad script, which actually has all the requirements for a good film with a bestseller template. Above all, the music is outstanding, which gives an exciting upswing to the atmosphere of the sometimes banal scene. The subplot in the second part is also great, with strong actors and completely surprising with unusual topics.
Unfortunately, both main characters lack any profile and real character. We already know from numerous other good series that you don't have to evoke profundity through long dialogues - but here the characters remain empty. This is astonishing, because the book template offers an abysmal, early childhood psychological story, especially for the main character Tjark Wolf, which would have given the whole story much more background and compassion. So it remains an interchangeable crime story.
In the end, the first two films in the German series seem indecisive and classic average - at most a good copy of well-known crime classics. Who does the producing German TV station RTL actually want to reach with this series? If you're simply looking for crime thriller entertainment, you've come to the wrong place, and if you're expecting profound thrillers, you're also wrong. All in all perhaps the prelude to a new series that has yet to be found. Definitely not an excellent start, but a good one anyway.

Î'm a real addict of ctime/thriller Tv séries. I could teach that genre in academics since I've hundreds, from all countries, thanks to plateforms. UK are my favorites by far but there are jewels everywhere, Poland, India, Denlark , Sweden etc, too many to name. And honestly, that one from Germany is really good. Acting first, scénario, intrigue so why 6 out of 10 ? Tv séries are usually scored 1 point more than movies. So that one deserve a 7,7 score which would be 6.7for a movie, a décent score. What make it worth it ? Scenery, Northern Germany, the actors, particularly the main one, the cop, not too cliché as often, again, the stories. In the second one, the Villain is just too ugly to be real ! I can't wait for the next season ! Cause the last épisode open the door for a sequel.
