Summary
Reviewers say 'Sausage Party: Foodtopia' is a divisive series with mixed reactions. Many praise its bold social critique, clever humor, and unique concept of sentient food, comparing it to a twisted 'Toy Story'. However, critics argue it often tries too hard to shock, resulting in discomfort and unnecessary scenes. The animation quality and repetitive humor are frequent points of contention. Some appreciate the series for its satirical take on societal issues, while others find it unoriginal and overly crude. The voice acting, particularly by Seth Rogen and other notable actors, is often highlighted as a redeeming feature. Despite its flaws, a segment of viewers finds it entertaining and worth watching for its absurdity and humor.

I already made my peace with the degeneracy from sausage party (for reference my roomie in 1st year at university hoodwinked me into watchingthe movie) but i didn't expect them to make a series 8yrs later, like whyyyyy?
Whoever thought up this idea should return from whence thou camst.
Since my review has to be 600 words might as well utilise it. Is this serie good adult content? Yes. Is this serie for kids? Hell no, keep them far away. Was the movie good? A little, the degeneracy was fun back then. Was the series necessary? Also hell no. Like we didn't need this in 2024.... we sooooo did not need this.

It was entertaining, but it was not needed to be eight episodes maybe should've just made it a movie or just Less episodes but it basically could've been a lot more launcher a lot more food related puns a lot more pop culture, but it was OK. I had high hopes. Yes I did finish the episodes, but I could've gone without watching all of them to get the basic just even the ending wasn't even a proper ending unless it's a cliffhanger and they're gonna come out with another season even though I feel that would be too presumptuous of them, but like I said, they should've just made a movie instead of prolonging the show I gave a five and it was generous technically I would've done a 4 1/2 I was entertained but not as entertained as a gladiator would've been to see if you get the reference good good for you.
I figured I'd give this a shot because it's a cartoon and they're short episodes but I couldn't even get thru 2 before turning it off. I didn't like the movie so I'm not surprised that I hate the show. The puns are way too down your throat and something about watching food constantly having sex with each other is just wrong. Sorry if that makes me sound like a prude but it's just not even funny. This show sucks. I really like Seth Rogan and Kristen Wig and Will Forte is wonderful in everything he is in. BUT this has got to be one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. Don't waste your time. It blows.
Dude looks at his entire body of work, picks the WORST movie he's made (out of PLENTY of contenders...), and says "You know what...I'm gonna double down on this piece of .....!"
The fact that he was able to convince such a star studded cast of B-listers to throw in with him on this train wreck, is a monumental feat in and of itself!
I do have to admit that there were a few moments that made me laugh, between crude and at times unwatchably raunchy scenarios...
Ultimately it's the talent of the voice actors themselves that keeps this from being a complete and utter "shmashorshin"("Knocked Up" reference), and honestly, still better than most of what comes out these days (have you seen smiling friends??) I guess Seth and the like will keep sharting these ridiculous shows out, and we will (God knows why?) keep watching...

Going to be honest, I haven't laughed once while watching the whole series, but it entertained me regardless. The whole concept of a post-apocalyptic society of food trying to survive was intiguing, and I liked watching some of them turn exactly in what they despise, but I'm not going to make spoilers. That is what kept me watching, my curiosity to see in what direction this foodtopia would go, and I was not disappointed, especially with the ending, can't wait for a second season. One thing I did not like and wish they made less of were the sex scenes. I really hope that there are no people turned on by those, but I know humanity. DO NOT EAT WHILE WATCHING, I was having lunch while watching episode 6 and I was left speechless, no wonder Prime Video had to put the warning.
Would I reccomend the series? Only if you have seen the movie, or if you like post apocalypse content and can stand some of the jokes/food sex scenes.
