Lexa Doig who appeared in two episodes as Dr. Fridkin played Sally Allison in the Hallmark movies The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries. Primeval: New World star Niall Matter later was cast as Aurora's new love interest in The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries.
On 21 February 2013, it was announced that Primeval: New World had been cancelled after a single season.
Geoff Gustafson and Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe are regulars in the "Signed, Seal and Delivered" series as Norman Dorman and Rita Haywith.
Unlike its predecessor Primeval (2007) which used the series number followed by a decimal and the episode number, Primeval: New World gave each episode a name.
