This is a shame for the series had a terrific look and feel. I was sent a copy of the shooting script back in '12 and was blown away. In my opinion it would have been the finest depiction of the Civil War in television or movie history. The writing was excellent, characterizations were historically accurate (though some characters were fictional), and production values were many and impressive. A lot of CGI would have been necessary--one scene was to show the Union Army of the Potomac--all 100,000+ plus, infantry, cavalry, artillery, supply wagons, etc.--crossing the Rapidan River to inaugurate the 1864 campaign in Virginia. Although I was not taken with some of the actors and production people, I am convinced that had it come to fruition, "To Appomattox" would have set a standard upon which later dramatizations of Civil War history would have been judged.

At Rhode Island Comicon and a Supernatural convention, I asked Richard Speight Jr. and Billy Zabka about this project, for which they are both listed. They said they never heard of it and had absolutely no involvement in it. This is a fantasy casting by a deluded man who started a failed 2014 Kickstarter campaign. This IMDB listing was an attempt at legitimacy.

IMBD....please do the right thing and delete this bogus movie that doesn't exist. Would a movie about the end of the Civil War be interesting? Sure. Does an idea alone become a reality just because some dude decides to attach a bunch of actors to a project? No.

This mini-series doesn't seem to exist. It isn't listed on the actors sites, or found downloaded anywhere.

So far this non-existent production has received 156 ratings. Of those ratings 96 gave it a 10!!!!! How many accounts did this guy create? Why is it still listed?
If the hilariously amateur concept art isn't proof enough, research proves this project is a fake. It's the dream project of a history fan posing as a TV producer. He's created Facebook pages, as well as other social media accounts, to fool people into thinking he's involved in an actual production. He probably uses this to pick up chicks at civil war reenactments.

It's not a mini series!! There aren't any actors or a plot to follow. . It's just some guys talking about the civil war with some old pictures. The quality is laughable, The actors and actresses are not in this and IMDB should remove this . If you really really want to watch it , I suggest you just the 1st episode not the entire 8 episodes .

I was being sought along with other Civil War reenactors and actors to participate in this production. It never got the funding and interest to make it happen. Wish it had!!

It's been a long silence, but let me catch everyone up... In 2019 super Emmy Award-winning producer and President of MGM TV, Mark Burnett, joined forces with me and Rob Lowe to see this project made. Joining us, once again, was financier Jeff Sagansky (former President Sony Pictures, TriStar Pictures, & CBS Television).
For two years every effort was made to find a distribution partner. All the broadcast networks, Apple TV, Netflix, Disney+ and all other streamers, all the cable networks, and the response was that due to the use of the Confederate flag, the depiction of Confederate Generals, the depiction of "white savior-ism" with regard to American slavery, and too little racial diversity due to our "Band of Generals" all being white, that in the current and foreseeable political/social climate in America, this series was/is unproduceable.
This was the strongest team yet assembled for this miniseries with passion and patriotism and love for our shared history you could not beat...but they were forced to admit defeat.
Edit: Sorry, but meant to add this was taken from the facebook page of the chap that created this.
