I seriously do not understand the other review , this serie is well made and there is a Narrator with ''subs'' but this dont bother one bit because this serie is easy to follow .
Editing is good , sound is good , the footage is great with pics of the crime scene and these are all new crimes that i never saw before .
I do recommand this serie to all true crime fans , you'll enjoy it like i did , and im honest ...not like the other preview not knowing what to write but only negative comment about something he or she probably did not even watch ...

Turning these crime busting criminals into pussycats during interrogation, raw criminals that ultimately cease all resistanse in the end, and finally tells the truth according to themselves.
I think the absence of dramatization is a luxury in true crime series these days, and that makes this serie fly right up to the stars and stays there, each episode is shock and awesome criminal interrogation and entertainment and its the real thing. It might be an investigators wet wild dream to get a confessional interview while the delinquent completely forgets to ask for a lawyer when the going gets tough...
Wanna learn the tricks, or wanna learn how to avoid a raw confession then do as the grumpy old man, WATCH!!! Some of the best made is my opinion.

I'm 50 50 on these type of crime shows. When done right, then can be highly engaging. When done poorly, they can come off as exploitive or even sometimes flat out boring. I'm happy to say this one is done very very well. The focus here isn't so much on the initial crime as it is on the actual interrogation of the suspect in the investigation. The psychological aspect of how to talk to someone who's done something so horrible is downright fascinating. Beyond that, the pacing is good throughout, the music is subtle, and the production is top notch without being distracting. I have to say after watching this series I have a new found respect for these detectives and investigators. I really hope we get to see more of this show in the future because I'm hooked.

Let's be fair here - there's 743 true crime shows out there. Every story isn't complex enough to warrant a full hour episode, so it's pretty natural to not be glued to the screen 100% of the time. And how many drone shots do you really need to see of a formerly idyllic town now shocked by the murder of an upstanding citizen? But this show is ridiculous with paragraphs of text on screen. Glance away to see what the dog knocked over and you've just missed how police found a bloody crowbar in the trunk of a Cadillac in an airport parking lot with a partial fingerprint that matched the deceased's landlord. Come on, A&E, hire a voice-over artist. If I wanted to read about murders, I'd subscribe to Detective Weekly.
