Very nice story. Horrible acting, barely any emotion unless it was from the father or older actors. Main protagonist doesn't look like a teen and the transitioning between scenes was very odd. One moment he's in the hospital and the next hour they're going to operate without the dads permission? In what world does that happen. No attention to detail. But the dialogue, the dialogue is a real kicker... it is terrible. Movie is all of over the place. Had a lot of potential but with a low budget I guess there is not much to expect. The real story is very inspiring and this movie falls short of that.
I was just amazed at how beautiful this movie is and should be watched by all individuals that believe in God and the goodness of the people in this world.
First the story in itself is just so beautiful and the actors really brought this story home to show the emotions of a child that is diagnosed with cancer, let alone brain cancer. I commend the Newman family and the school community for showing the world never to give up on God and that prayer actually works and all things can be accomplished if you have faith.
This movie definitely brings out all range of emotions, one minute you are excited Brycen's team won the game and the next minute you are crying because of a horrible cancer diagnosis. I thought Daniel Roebuck kept you smiling and laughing, when the movie needed it most. I give credit to all the actors for doing such a great job pulling the emotions out that the movie is portraying.
This is without a doubt a must watch for those people of faith, don't listen to the naysayers that want to tear down faith and religion. This is a beautiful movie with an incredible true story. I highly recommend it for all ages, especially those individuals of faith. This movie restores your faith in God and humanity.

An absolutely beautiful story and movie, I highly recommend it and it is a movie the entire family can watch. No bad words, no inappropriate content doesn't matter the age 2 to 100 years old can watch this family entertainment.
To think what this family must have gone through, I believe it is their only child at least that is what the movie implied there was never a sibling in the movie.
This movie brings out every emotion imaginable, kudo's to the actors they did a great job. I will say, make sure to have tissues available, I think it will be hard for any woman to watch this and not shed a tear.
I rated this movie a 10/10 because I believe it achieved every emotion it wanted the audience to feel. That to me is what movies should be about, and I am glad this movie achieved it.
I will be recommending this movie to all my relatives and friends, it is a movie everyone can watch.

I just absolutely loved this movie! Such a wonderful and uplifting story about how an entire high school and its community come together to support and pray for one of their own. I love stories like this, and what is even more amazing is that it is a true story. I would love to know how accurate a depiction the movie is to the actual story, I did see that Brycen Newman did get that Mustang in the movie from Make-A-Wish. So that makes me believe a lot of the movie is factual.
I loved seeing all the real pictures of Brycen Newman in the trailers, it is always nice to see the actual person the movie is depicting. What a handsome young man he is. It would be wonderful to know how he is doing now. I wish they would have had a clip of where Brycen Newman is now and what is he doing with his life. It looks like he comes from a very grounded family so I would assume he is doing great things. I really loved this movie and story.
I thought the acting was very good. The actors that really stood out were Daniel Roebuck, Kathy Patterson, Eddie McClintock, Brennan Hunt, Nick Avila, Kory Gettman & the teacher from the high school. They all brought a lot of emotion to their roles and helped keep you wrapped up in the story pulling for Brycen Newman.
To Brycen Newman and the Newman family, my heart goes out to them and what they dealt with. So happy that the ending was a joyful and happy one.
This movie is suitable for all ages, there is no cursing or inappropriate subject matter in this movie. It does bring a full range of emotions out so some younger children might not understand what is going on but everyone will be smiling and cheering at the end.
If you are a believer in faith, I definitely am, then this movie is a must see. I recommend this movie to all which is why I rated it a '10 out of 10. I hope this movie is very successful like the Passion of Christ so that more studios make more movies like this one.

Great family movie, and an incredible story. The title kind of lets you know the ending, but you are still rooting for Brycen Newman and his family. The performances that really stand out are Eddie McClintock, Daniel Roebuck and Kathy Patterson. The movie starts off in different directions, but it all ties up nice halfway thru.
What I enjoyed was googling Brycen Newman's name and finding out the story is true and there is more depth to it. The kid now has a foundation helping other children fighting cancer, kudos to him for paying it forward. I recommend that others look at what he is doing!.

I really, really loved this movie. Hollywood needs to continue to make movies like this one. The story is actually real just google Brycen Newman and there will be a whole host of links that show this as a true story. The amount of amazing critic reviews is insane, the number listed is 70 and I couldn't find one that doesn't rave about the story, the movie and the acting and I agree with the ones I read.
For individuals of faith, this movie reinforces that there is a higher power and not to give up on God or prayer. What the Newman family went through is heartbreaking, and definitely will bring tears to your eyes. But at the end you see a community come together to say a prayer over a young man that changes everything. I love the line "no need to go to Florida, there are plenty of beaches here in California" and that Mustang is a dream car for most.
The actors that shined in my opinion were Eddie McClintock "Richard Newman", Daniel Roebuck "Ed Hanson", Cathy Patterson "Marilynn Hanson", Brennan Hunt "Alexandra", and Nick Avila "Miles Himmel" is a very good looking young man, I hope to see him in more movies like this. Cori Lombardi "Anne Majer" did a fantastic job as the teacher, and Christin Jezak as Dr. Sam did a good job also. The one thing I would have like to see more of is Dean Cain, he is on the poster art but wasn't on screen as much as you would hope.
All in all there are zero complaints, I am excited that I bought the movie because I will be showing it to my family and recommending it to my friends. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am glad I bought it.

I was just blown away by how inspiring this movie is, so much so my wife and I have watched the movie 3 times already and we still cry in the same scenes in the movie even though we know what is coming. To me, that just shows how great a movie this truly is.
It shows how much a community can make a difference in a child's life. I would recommend this to anyone of faith and family, it is without a doubt a must watch movie. To think that Brycen's high school and its community came together to help save this young man's life is just amazing.
I thought Daniel Roebuck and Kathy Peterson "Ed & Marilyn Hanson" did a wonderful job as husband and wife and kept a very difficult subject light hearted which allowed you to laugh after you just finished wiping the tears away. Other great performances were Eddie McClintock "Rick Newman," Brennan Hunt "Alex," Nick Avila "Miles Himmel," they all did a fantastic job. The only critique would be Kory Gettman "Brycen Newman" some of his acting was way over the top, and I wish there were more scenes with Dean Cain "Dr. Getty" in them. The woman ER doctor Christin Jezak "Dr. Sam," sure did make you want to punch her, so she did a great job if that is how the role was written.
I did check and this is a true story, you can google Brycen Newman and brain cancer and see all the news articles and news video clips to see what really happened and it looks like the movie really captured what this poor young man actually went through. I can't even begin to understand what Brycen's parents went through, but through their faith and the faith of Brycen's high school community it was a story book ending.
I couldn't disagree with the other user review more regarding the incorporation of Rachel Platten's "Fight song" at the end of the movie. I have 3 relatives that have dealt with cancer and they have all said that this song is what fighting cancer is all about. Kudo's to the producer for using it at the end when Brycen was healed. As my sister Julie says, taking back your life from cancer is all you want to do, because cancer takes so much of your life in the first place.
This is a 10 out of 10 rating for me, I wish there were more movies like this. I have recommended it to my kids and friends, I recommend you watch it also!
If you believe in Faith and Family you definitely need to watch this movie, and it doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman bring some tissues, this is one of those movies that hits you right in the heart!
On a side note, I would like to buy that Mustang! What a show stopper!

Two thing I'm not a catholic and this is heavy with it. However, this film.was wonderful made. It showed the power of love and prayer. It showed that not all works in our timing but his .
The actors all did a wonderful job. Many of them have been in other faith based films and even mainstream movies.
I loved the older couple and the father was just wow.. .. The fact that one person could bring so many people together is amazing and a mircle without the biggest one of them all. They got the color of the car wrong for sure when looking at the real pictures at the end. I also personally feel like they choose the wrong song at the end A mircle happens and you play a song about a person whom doesnt.care if anyone else is there and wants to do it alone. They should have choosen a more faith based song ..

This was a powerful story of overcoming cancer. Get a box of tissues because there are some emotional moments in this film. Overall, this movie exceeded my expectations. If you are a believer, this movie will reinforce the power of prayer and healing. My wife in a devout Muslim and high school teacher, and she really enjoyed watching the positive message for students. The acting was very realistic and the emotions were sincere and genuine. I would recommend this movie for anyone who needs some encouragement in their lives. When you think there is no hope, positivity and prayer can make the difference between life and death.

I've watched this twice and recommend it! The story may have been unbelievable except it's true. Get ready for goosebumps and a grab your hankie scene!
The photography is lovely, and the actors who portray the real people who lived this do a superb job.
I know many churches, youth groups and families would enjoy watching this on movie night and to inspire discussion about faith and how God works. There is some Catholicism but that doesn't mean all Christians can't relate, in fact I appreciated knowing that we all share doubts, fears and that when we pull together our faith fan grow.
I also recommend googling the foundation started by the real life young man who wanted to reach other kids living with cancer. Recommended.
