Director Prabu Solomon travelled 7,000 kilometers across 26 towns as he wanted to find a location surrounded by hills and filled with dense forests. He was finally satisfied when he found Kurangani, a town 30 km from the municipality of Bodinayakkanur in the Theni district.
Due to the remoteness of the shooting location, the crew members had to trek 7 km every day.
