Upon completing the first cut of Finding Francis, Michael Ringston brought the film to Mr. Martin Scorsese. After Mr. Scorsese viewed the film, he called Mr. Ringston with praise saying, "It's a wonderful character study of one man facing his own mortality." Mr. Scorsese went on to say the pace created a, "gritty New York feel."
