Urmila Kanitkar carries the film's message

This is a Marathi Language Film starring Urmila Kanitkar.

Conveying the message to the audience and lawmakers, that motherhood and a bond between mother and child can't be defined or bound by laws.

That the right of the mother who bears and cares for the child's upbringing is definitely more that the one whose egg or sperm it was physically created from.

The film weaves in many more messages about orphanages, gender prejudice and farmer suicides in the 2 hour frame.

One wishes the first hour were cut short. The crass jokes and item song in the first hour were needless. The target audience of these kind of films would definitely not appreciate them.

So I'll be reducing 1 point and giving it 9/10 in IMDB.

But most of all, Urmila Kanitkar carries the film. Her performance was most natural and helps you empathize completely with a mother in her situation. One of the best I've seen!
