Silly plot, unnecessary drama and predictive development. Like they took all the cliches and put them in one unnecessary movie. I logged in after several years to comment on this one.
Why is this movie a thing. There was no reason to continue this story. Even though I didn't like the first one it did feel like a good enough conclusion. This one just stomps all over that conclusion in the first half an hour. It is filled with cliche drama, cliche relationships and cliche dialogue and interactions. There were lines of dialogues being written where I was left scratching my head thinking who talks like that. It is crazy to think about some of the Netflix shows that got cancelled but Netflix agreed to Tall Girl 2 and that just baffles me. Overall Tall 2 is unnecessary and I'm going to give it a 2/10.
The movie picks up 3 months after the first movie ended and Jodie and Dunker are still together. She forgave Stig and encourages the gang to let him join them.
The movie in itself wasn't really exciting, normal teenage drama with little ups and downs but the moral of the story actually was refreshing. It talks about teenagers, their body negativity issues, relationship problems and anxiety issues. It focuses less on popularity clicks and boy drama and more on what happens after.
The ultimate question however remains, did we really need a sequel?
It is becoming harder to impress people, and sequels tend to fail more often than not.
Is it watchable? Yes, I do like to give any movie a chance.
Would I recommend to others?
Sometimes all you need is a 5 star movie to spend your boring Wednesday nights.

Honestly, these Netflix originals teen romance films are becoming very repetitive, Same story different actors, I'd recommend it for background noise.
I enjoyed the original Tall Girl movie. I did enjoy this sequel, but had a major disappointment. The good....many of the secondary characters were fleshed out more and showed some growth. They were interesting. The bad...The tall girl herself was kind of annoying. She couldn't figure out her love life, and the whole "doubting voice in her head" thing was stupid. The actress was as good as ever...her musical numbers were great, but the writers really let her character down.
