Kiefer Sutherland has appeared in multiple acclaimed films and shows in the past few years. While his role as Jack Bauer in 24 is probably his most well-known, his appearances in Stand by Me, A Few Good Men, and the drama Designated Survivor have brought him a lot of recognition. His 1987 vampire comedy The Lost Boys became a cult hit.
Sutherland plays David, a vampire who acts as the gang leader of a local bike gang and befriends the protagonists. Sutherland’s character has gained a cult following, with David being regarded as one of the greatest villains in pop culture. While there were plenty of scenes for him to shine, one gory deleted scene would have made David a legend.

Credit — or blame, as the case may be — generally goes to Sammy Hagar. The former Van Halen frontman kick-started the celebrity booze movement when he launched his own Cabo Wabo Tequila back in 1999. The trend went into overdrive in 2017 after George Clooney offloaded his Casamigos tequila label to Diageo for a cool $1 billion. Suddenly, every A-lister (and A-list aspirant) wanted in. And though the ubiquity of celebrity brands has reached the point of parody, their performance is entirely serious, outpacing the industry as a whole. But which of them are any good? THR has convened a panel of mixologists and booze experts to single out their favorites — and those best relegated to the bottom shelf.

Even actors can be starstruck. James Marsters proved that when auditioning for "Star Trek," an experience he does not look back on fondly.
Marsters was and is most famous for playing Spike, the bleach blond, leather-duster wearing vampire limey on "Buffy The Vampire Slayer." Spike was the one vampire on the show who was too popular for Buffy to slay. After debuting in season 2 as a villain, he stuck around until the end, became a hero and even love interest for Buffy, and then jumped ship for the final season of spin-off "Angel."
TV writers are nerds, and "Buffy" is the north star for a generation of them. It's no surprise that Marsters has parlayed his time as Spike into a stable career in genre TV. Jensen Ackles, the actor who played Dean Winchester, revealed how he figured out how big the show had become after the first season, before which he thought it was more akin to shooting a horror film every week.

When it comes to Halloween, nobody does it quite like Dracula, Frankenstein, or the Wolf Man.
Sure, we’ve got modern monsters and endless reboots, but if you’re asking me, the Og Universal Monsters are still the ultimate icons of Halloween horror.
And I mean the real classics — Bela Lugosi’s hypnotic Dracula, Boris Karloff’s unforgettable Frankenstein, and Lon Chaney Jr.’s tortured Wolf Man.
(Universal Pictures/Screenshot)
These films didn’t just scare; they enchanted.
There’s a reason I’ll take Lugosi’s rich accent over any sleek modern vampire — it’s the way he commanded a scene, using just his voice and presence to send chills down your spine.
And when it comes to the Wolf Man, there’s a tragedy in Lon Chaney Jr.’s performance that still makes you feel for the man behind the beast, even as he transforms into a snarling,...

The directors of “Anatomy of Lies” weren’t moved by former “Grey’s Anatomy” writer Elisabeth Finch’s public apology following the release of their Peacock docuseries.
The three-episode saga from Evgenia Peretz and David Schisgall, which launched Tuesday on the NBCUniversal streamer, expands on Peretz’s 2022 Vanity Fair exposé detailing how the TV writer lied for years about having a rare form of bone cancer, to the point where she infused those lies into storylines she wrote into the ABC medical drama.
The doc includes interviews with Finch’s former colleagues from “Grey’s Anatomy” and “The Vampire Diaries,” acquaintances and her ex-wife Jennifer Beyer, whom Finch met while seeking treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder only to mine pieces of Beyer and her family’s troubled past for plot points in her work.

In a three-part docuseries Anatomy of Lies, new details about the life and lies of Elisabeth Finch, the Grey’s Anatomy writer who infamously faked a cancer diagnosis, are revealed.
A seasoned TV writer with credits on shows such as True Blood and The Vampire Diaries, in 2012, Finch began to tell friends and colleagues that she had been diagnosed with chondrosarcoma, a form of bone cancer. She even wrote a now-removed essay for Elle about her unique experience with the disease, which caught the attention of an executive at Shondaland, Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes’ production company. Impressed with the essay, Rhimes offered Finch a writer’s spot on the ABC show, and Finch’s health issues were soon incorporated into episode storylines, which Finch wrote.
The truth about Finch’s diagnosis was first reported in March 2022, when The Ankler published the initial article that exposed Finch for fabricating her personal and medical history.

It’s that time of year again, when it’s fun to give a scare, or even get a scare. Many TV programs offer up a special Halloween episode, some with a light tone and others adding a little mystery, but some TV shows are spooky year round.
People have always been fascinated with the unknown, and “The Twilight Zone” was one of the first series to successfully offer up episode after episode of bizarre stories. In the 1960s, sitcoms like “Bewitched,” “The Addams Family” and “The Munsters” offered a comic take on movie monsters and the occult, while also giving lessons on acceptance. In the 1990s, “The X-Files” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” became huge hits, developing cult followings and leading to the popularity of series featuring supernatural forces. Today, shows like “Stranger Things,” “The Walking Dead” and “Supernatural” have loyal viewers who eagerly await the next adventures of the heroes,...

Former Grey’s Anatomy writer Elisabeth Finch said there was “no excuse, no justification” for lying about a cancer diagnosis — and much more — in a statement shared on social media ahead of the premiere of a new docuseries about the scandal.
Finch infamously lied about having a rare kind of bone cancer called chondrosarcoma, and a 2014 essay for Elle about her “diagnosis” led to her getting a job as a writer on Grey’s. While working on the show, she pretended to undergo rounds of chemotherapy, shaving her head and claiming...

Elisabeth Finch seemed to have it all: a career as a successful television writer with credits on hit shows like True Blood and The Vampire Diaries. But one thing was missing—a role on Grey’s Anatomy, one of the most popular medical dramas ever. When her attempts to join the writing staff didn’t pan out, Finch hatched an elaborate scheme.
She claimed to have a rare form of bone cancer and used that fictional illness to garner sympathy and advance her career. Finch’s deception only grew more extreme and destructive over time. Through persuasive lies and manipulations, she worked her way onto Grey’s Anatomy and even had some of her fake life struggles play out in the show’s storyline.
By the time the truth was revealed, Finch had seriously damaged people’s lives and careers through years of gaslighting and emotional abuse. The Peacock documentary Anatomy of Lies...

They say the truth will set you free, but in the case of Elisabeth Finch, it seems to have handed her a one-way ticket straight into the lion’s den. The docuseries, Anatomy of Lies, now streaming on Peacock, pulls back the curtain on a saga that’s as jaw-dropping as it is eyebrow-raising.
Drawing inspiration from a 2022 Vanity Fair article by Evgenia Peretz, this three-part series dishes out a smorgasbord of revelations that will have you questioning your own perceptions of honesty, particularly in Tinseltown.

Former Grey’s Anatomy scribe Elisabeth Finch has posted an apology in response to today’s premiere of Anatomy of Lives, a Peacock docuseries about her “rise and fall” on the ABC series.
The streamer said the series features some of Finch’s “closest contacts, many speaking for the first time.” It used a Vanity Fair article as source material that chronicled Finch’s lies while writing for the Shonda Rhimes series.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Finch wrote today that “I lied about so much; things so many people have been devastated by in real life. I’m sorry feels like the smallest words compared to what I’ve done, yet they are the truest. I trapped myself in the addition of lies, betraying and traumatizing my closest family, friends and colleagues. I’m making amends and expressing my genuine remorse as best I can when people are ready.
