A highly regarded voice actor long associated with the One Piece anime series will not appear in an upcoming episode. Due to health concerns, Kazuki Yao, who plays the Straw Hat pirate Franky and the hypnotist Jango, will be replaced by Wataru Takagi.

The official One Piece website made the announcement on its social media account on X (formerly Twitter). "Due to the poor health of Kazuki Yao, who plays Jango, Wataru Takagi will take over the role," the online post reads. One Piece Episode 1121, "Garp and Kuzan: Master and Student's Conflict of Justice," will air on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, in Japan. New episodes are available weekly on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
