Good movie to watch for especially the scenes of varanasi ghats and also acting from all characters is fabulous the movie has beenwell made.
Brilliant cinematography. Topic of film is unique. Film is set on bank of river ganga in Banaras, where dead bodies are brought for funeral procession. Protagonist , named Suraj, does photography of dead bodies, and makes a meagre earning. Film is divided into around multiple chapters revolving around different parts of his life along with friends, sister, death.
Photographer is passing through difficult time to earn his living for family, still able to take life light-heartedly. His wife is uncomfortable in such life, however content as well as supportive. They have good conversations, recalling memories about their marriage.
Picture shows ephemeral nature of life. Dead bodies are burnt besides river ganga. Person working along with that knows life of human is very short. There is a dialogue that says, life is such short as it takes to switch a button. Even through serious topic of death, few humorous dialogues will bring smiles on your face.
One of best films and work watching.

"Barah by Barah" is an exceptional film that left a profound impression on me. The story, set in the culturally rich and visually stunning city of Varanasi, explores themes of tradition, family, and personal growth with remarkable depth and sensitivity. The film follows the journey of its protagonist, who is beautifully portrayed by the lead actor, delivering a performance that is both powerful and nuanced.
The supporting cast also shines, each bringing their characters to life in a way that feels authentic and heartfelt. The cinematography is breathtaking, capturing the essence of Varanasi's vibrant streets, sacred rituals, and serene landscapes, enhancing the narrative's emotional impact.
The director's vision is clear and compelling, weaving together a narrative that is both universal and deeply rooted in Indian culture. The film's pacing allows for a rich exploration of its characters' inner worlds, making their transformations all the more meaningful.
