OK first of all if you want detailed car modification and upgrades or complicated race mechanics go play grand tourismo or need for speed. if however you want to race at breakneck speeds around twisting curving tracks whilst weaving in and out of oncoming traffic whilst pulling of nitrous fuelled drifts at 180 miles an hour play this game.
as always with the burnout games the focus here is on fun, and plenty of it the visuals are superb. The cars look incredible as there being smashed to smithereens after ploughing in to an oncoming bus or semi at 200 miles an hour. the game rewards you with nitrous for driving like a lunatic for example driving down the wrong lane of the motor way and hugging the rail will reward you with nitro however driving straight at the oncoming cars and swerving at the last moment will net you a lot more the central idea of the game is simple risk = reward, the bigger the risk the bigger the reward. as well as having a variety of race modes you can also play road rage events where the objective is to take out as many of your fellow racers as possible and crash where you have to deliberately crash in to busy junctions picking up as many rewards and multipliers as you can and cause as much damage as possible for the big points. so to some up burnout take down is a game that doesn't require you to be a top notch racer but rewards you if you are, its a no brainer from the start but its just so much fun seriously this game rocks.
